Ok. So here is why I found a reason to write a review. I was truly excited to try this place out because I am new to the area, and they have a "vegan" veggie burger. Walking in, it was very clean. (Five stars for that). The staff all appeared fairly young, and SOME were polite. Walking up the register, the girls were chatting away and gave me a look as if to say "what was I doing there", when I attempted to place my order. Overall, neither of them was very friendly and they seemed uninterested to be there. (You can always fake it ladies). I was told to sit at the bar to wait for my order, which took over a couple of minutes. I understand it is made “fresh-to-order”, but the quality of the food did match the quantity of time it took to bring it out. My burger looked as if it were thrown together. Ingredients were scarce; all of the lettuce laid in the bottom of the plastic container, and I received one strip of a roasted pepper. It was also not very flavorful and only slightly warm. The fries were cold. Once again, I was seated at the bar for quite a minute and truly expected hot food. What also confused me was the amount of individuals in the kitchen. There was a good number of employees back there and it still took an extended amount of time for the food to come out. In the front, there were employees on their cell phones and some were just standing there in small groups socializing. I have worked behind the scenes of food services, and most of the activities these employees were doing would not be condoned. Read moreThis was my first time visiting Burger 21 and I will probably not be back. There was only one customer in the seating area waiting for food and one customer behind us in line to order. We were not greeted when we came in and had to wait for someone to come take our order. The cashier was rude and seemed as though he didn't care to take our order. A door dash driver walks in, goes around the other side and interrupted the cashier, cut in front on everyone waiting to order, asking where his orders are. The cashier stopped our order and interacted with the door dash driver. After we placed our order, got our drinks and sat down, I realized my cup was leaking. The cashier was no where to be found to ask for another cup. He came out when other customers came in to order and quickly disappeared once again. When I was able to get a second cup, it too, was leaking. Our food finally came out and the server quickly sat it on the table and walked away. Not realizing that you have to ask for condiments, since no one ask us if we needed any, we now had to wait until the server came out with someone else's food to ask for ketchup. We were given 2 small containers with maybe a table spoon of Ketchup per container. At this time we realize that my daughter's cup is also leaking from the bottom. Now to the food. The bread is dry as if it were from the day old bread section at the market. The burgers were overly salted, and the fries were dry and over cooked. The prices are way to expensive for the food we received. $40.10 for 2 burgers, 2 orders of fries, and 2 small drink.
