My experience on Friday was just unacceptable and unappreciated. We went to hobby lobby for one thing and ended up choosing some other stuff too. Just like target when you go for one thing you end up getting other stuff. We grabbed a certain decor from the 66% isle in the mid walk way. (Keep in mind there were multiple products on the table, at the time not noticing the sign said ā66%off spring sale on this tableā) We finished up walking around the whole store ready to check out. As I saw the clerk ring up 1 specific product I noticed it was not ringing up 66% off it was ringing up 50% off. I proceeded to mention to her that we got that decor item in the 66% off table, very abruptly she turned over the product and said, āthis is a home product this is only 50% off it might have been misplaced.ā I mentioned to her there is more similar products with the same design in that table that it couldnāt have possibly misplaced. Her response āIām sorry I canāt do nothing about it.ā I told her ok then let me go double check the pricing and labeling because it should really be honored if there are multiple of the same product in that sale rack. I proceeded to the table where I got that decor and there was everything still there from the same design I even glanced at other products and in deed they had āhome stickersā some just had hobby lobby stickers only, this is when I noticed it said spring decor on table is 66% off. I proceeded back to the checkout and stated yes I understand now that it is only spring decor, but there are multiple products that are there they all couldnāt have been misplaced. All she said āsorry nothing I can do.ā At this point I was more concerned in her customer service and tone of voice than the pricing, if she would have just been more understanding maybe go and look at the table with me or tried to figure it out then I would have proceeded to check out. I asked to speak with a manger she said well thatās fine but we canāt do anything about it. Thatās when I just said you know what thatās ok I donāt want any of the products then, as I was walking away a man approached me (appeared to be a manager) and ask if everything was okay I explained everything to him and he seemed to not understand anything or just acted so. I said you know what itās fine forget it I am not going to take anything anymore and all he said was sorry. Sorry for what, he didnāt even bother in trying to figure out the issue or overall a customers concern. Will just stick to going to Micheals and other department stores from now on. Please get proper customer service and management training. FYI I am a manger myself at a retail store so this is why I am so bothered at the lack of customer service I received knowing what is suppose to be given to clients. However, when I went in last night, I had a bad experience with the older woman in the fabric section. First off, I had just visited this same store, a week prior, to buy fabric because I wanted to make a skirt longer and a little more modest. The associate I had, was awesome, friendly and helpful! My seamstress called and asked Me to go get more fabric, so this is why I was returning. I also wanted a small patio table, so I thought that I could get both on this visit. I got to the store around 7:35 PM on last night, 10/7/22 and I went straight back to fabric. I saw the older woman at the desk, but I knew where this fabric was kept, so I thought I'd grab it and then take it to her. It wasnt in the spot, so I walked up and asked her, and she seemed annoyed and just randomly pointed in a direction. I went back and saw that it had been stuck in a different section & I just had to find it...no biggie. I went to take it to the cutting desk, there were no other customers in fabric, and she didnt even look up to acknowledge Me. She just mumbled, "It's gonna be a while, I'm doing this." I said, "I'm the only one here, I just need the same amount cut as this one please (I had my original fabric from the seamstress in hand.) She never looked up at Me! She just said again, "It's gonna be a while."
I couldn't believe the poor level of service! Surely, this isnt hobby lobby's standard. I didnt feel valued as a customer at all! I left the fabric with her and I just left. I didnt even think about the patio table I wanted, because she had given such poor service, with a nasty attitude, it just made Me want to leave the store. She could have said, "One moment ma'am, let me call another associate to cut that for you," or she could have just cut it and returned to her task. Now, I will have to plan to make another trip to that store, when I could have been taken care of the first time. I didnt even want to deal with her nasty attitude, so I just left last night. Ā Ā Ā Read moreWorst service ever. When you go in of course your phone will not work on Wi-Fi or on your own network which means that you have to pull a coupon up before you go in. As I'm pulling the coupon up at the front of the store I began to get a website issue error. I showed the error to the manager because the cashier who was the system we had to go to the restroom and ask her to take over for her. The manager said in order for me to get the discount for the 40% coupon that is always on the website that I would actually need the coupon. Due to me not being able to pull up the coupon I began to walk out of the store I then made a decision to speak to the store manager. The manager who was originally assisting me laugh and got the store manager unfortunately I didn't see what the joke was. I spoke to the store manager and store manager apologized and gave me my discount without needing to coupon like I would normally receive the service from another Hobby Lobby or even a Michaels. For a company that lives by the Christian values I did not feel like I was the one that customer and as I'm having my own issues what is another woman at the front counter have in her issues as well what the return from the same manager. Because I am a Crafter I cannot say I will not shop at Hobby Lobby again but I can say I will not shop at this Hobby...
