Denny's — Restaurant in Kennewick

I wanna start by saying, this is the only time this has happened to me at this location but it’s unacceptable to serve multiple pieces of raw chicken. We ordered the “classic sampler” it was normal at first until one of us ate a full chicken wing…. she was describing it as a weird texture and tough, so i thought to give it a try and i struggled to bite it in half. Little did we know these chicken wings were raw as can be in the center on all of em and one of us ate a full wing. We told our server who was really nice and he took it to the back and said he’d be right out with a replacement, but not once did a manager offer to speak to us only the server. Despite one of us eating raw chicken we were offered the appetizer being removed from our check. She’s not exactly feeling super great today which should be expected. I want to add that the rest of our food was great, but the lack of hospitality from any manager on duty or even an apology from the kitchen, it’s not the servers job to make sure their food is thoroughly cooked. they should be retrained before they make more people sick. It also wasn’t very busy as it was 12-1 in the morning, there is no excuse for the chicken to be raw. As someone who works in the food industry that’s ridiculous. Absolute WORST dining experience ever. When we first came in there was a staff member who had clocked out and was counting her tips on the front counter, completely ignoring the 3 people already waiting, not a greeting, not a call back to a staff member on the clock. Just a quick "i'm off the clock" and ignoring customers. When we were finally seated it took some time before anyone could get our drink orders (they didn't even bring water) When a staff member managed to make it to our table to take our order everyone but me was in the bathroom and i asked her to come back in just a couple minutes, ten minutes later she returned. After our order was placed it took over 20 minutes for the food to get to our table, not because it wasnt ready though. We could see our food sitting under the heat lamp for ten minutes. When the food got to us our burger was the wrong one, our fries were lukewarm, and the nachos did not look as appetizing as when they first went under the lamp.

As a former waitress i understand busy nights, and being short staffed. But this was beyond a rough evening, the diner was not very busy, this was bad staff training...

It seems that they hire children to make their food. I made a simple request for a little extra spaghetti sauce with my to go order because the last one was a bit shy. Well, in response to this. When I got my order home I found that the cook poured an excessive amount of sauce on my order. When I say excessive, I mean so much that it was spilling over the edge of the dish. I was necessary to scoop of excess sauce just to see the spaghetti noodles. To beat that there was also an extra cup of sauce included in the order. I found this to be a very childish and completely ridicules response to a simple request. Then when I called to speak with Gail, the manager at the time, my impression was that she did not care and nobody else cared about my complaint. It makes me wonder why I have always had good things to say about this particular restaurant. Even when folks would put them down. Well. Never again will I recommend this Denny's for good service. There are many others in the area that can be much more considerate to their customers. And have reasonable adults working...
