One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had since I moved to the tri-cities area 5 1/2 years ago. The food was sub par, the service sucked to say the least. I called in to place an order the first time and was told that I would have to pay double the cost for a half and half pizza. Because I had been wanting to try the pizza from this location, I begrudgingly agreed to pay the price. When the person on the phone sighed audibly, then asked me to hold for a moment before coming back to the line almost 10 minutes later to finish taking the payment information. When I informed them I was using a debit card to pay I was told the card system was down and would have to pay in cash. I told them to cancel the order to which the order taker happily said "okay" and just hung up on me. No ,"I'm sorry " or any other offer of sincerity. This concluded my first experience with them.
My second interaction with this location happened a couple of months later after I had time to sample some other pizzerias in the tri-cities area, including Excalibur pizza, the original. So by the second time I was anxious to see how this location measured up to the original. To say the second time was any better would be a bold face lie! Again, the customer service sucked. The counter help acted like she didn't want to be there and that any effort she had to make to help me or anyone else was just a huge waste of her time and life. I can look past things like this a bit as long as I get my food fast and hot. After waiting almost half an hour I had to check on my order to be told "it would be just a bit longer". I got my order finally and headed home, I live less than 4 minutes away from the restaurant. When I got into the order the pizza, which should have been still hot was lukewarm at best. For something that I had to wait so long for to be ready there was no reason why it should not have been a lot hotter. When I called back to complain I was placed on hold twice. I asked to speak to the manager on duty and was asked to hold yet again. After waiting for over 12 minutes to speak to the manager I got sick of waiting and hung up. Needless to say it will be the last time I order from this joke of...
Read morePrices are absolutely gauging.. Using the very cheapest vendors and buying the lowest quality base ingredients.... Make an OK pizza out of it.. Charge $8 for a bottle of Modelo. It's an insult. I'm local. I own local businesses. I support local. There's a reason nobody is in your establishment. You aren't providing the same quality your competition is. I'll get a WAY better pizza and $5 IPA @ Hubby's next time. Hurts me to write bad reviews for a small local business but this is ridiculous. I understand the market is hard and people aren't buying in any kind of volume. You're marketing against yourself w these prices. Your buildings are basically dives. You should embrace that. Have local bands. Have at least one beer where you only charge four or $5 a beer. Having a $5 pizza on your advertisements but you show up to your building and it's $10 is a little jarring as well m My third and last order from Excalibur Pizza.
I am amending my review for one reason. It's not your service and it's definitely not your "worst I've seen in my life when not at a theme park" prices.
Based on every pizza ordered My opinion is that you keep changing food vendors and keep making your pizza out of different products. Whatever you did for cheese this time... Stop buying anything else. You need to keep usingthis cheese. Whatever you're using for sauce this time stop by anything else and use this for sauce. You're obviously not doing anything homemade so you might have hit a home run with a vendor orderable sauce here. It's definitely not as sweet as the last stuff (killed the sauce . Needed more spice to it.) It upsets me even more you're running your establishment into the ground when you finally found a few ingredients to make your...
Read moreOver charged me for ONE pizza. I paid $70 for one pizza (half mushroom and pepperoni/ half pineapple and olive). It was there XXL which is about 26inches. When I called to inform them of the mistake, after calling in and asking for the price without them knowing it's me and adding it up on GrubHub and off their personal menu, they acted confused and asked to call me back. Once they did (an hour later) they told me it was my fault for not asking the total and that it's not their job to make sure we are charged right. Sad cause I enjoyed the pizza before I realized they charder me so much and over charged me by double checking multiple times before I called them to let them know of the mistake made on their end. They didn't even apologize or ask for my name to look...
