My husband and I have been going to Picante since they were a food truck, and we were excited to hear when they opened a brick and mortar. We have always been blown away by the immense flavor in each dish. It is our favorite place to go when we are out to eat or even grabbing food to go. Their service is exceptional! The staff is super friendly and quick to ensure you have everything you need. The frijoles that are served when dining in are fresh and delicious. The food comes out promptly, and they offer a variety of salsas to go with it (Chile de Arbol for spice, avocado lime for something fresh, etc). One of our favorite dishes is the surf & turf Crunchwrap. Nicely toasted on the outside, crunch on the inside, fresh cabbage slaw, juicy meat, and nice bites of shrimp. We also enjoy the Birria Crunchwrap, Birria tacos, enchiladas, El Jefe burrito... really the list can go on. Most recently they gave us a sneak peek of a deep-fried S'more they will be adding to their menu. Absolutely mouth-watering!!! It just melts in your mouth. We just can't get enough of Picante, and look forward to when they open up their tequila bar! You can tell they have put time, effort, and heart into everything. They deserve all the success!

We recently visited Picante Mexican Taqueria after hearing so many great things, and it did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted, and the outstanding customer service continued throughout our visit. The staff made it a point to welcome every customer as they entered, which set a friendly and inviting tone. The atmosphere was welcoming and had a good vibe that made the dining experience enjoyable. However, I rated food 4 stars because of a small hiccup with the menu. I ordered pozole, but they only had the chicken version available at the time. While it was tasty, I personally prefer the classic pork pozole and missed that option. I also tried a taco, and while it didn’t completely win me over, the guacamole on it was the real star. It was so fresh and flavorful that it truly elevated the taco! It’s definitely worth trying for the guacamole alone. That being said, the overall experience was positive, and we’re looking forward to returning to try more items from their menu. With such friendly service, a welcoming atmosphere, and stand-out flavors like their guacamole, we’re optimistic about exploring their other offerings.

Several other business owners and locals in the area recommended Picante to us. I do follow them on social media to watch for specials and menu changes. The evening we decided to visit, we were quickly informed that they were working with a rather large party at the time, so our wait time would be a little longer. We were completely fine with that. The restaurant was packed and seating limited. Despite it being busy the staff was super attentive. Initially, we were sat at the window. However, after another family left the quickly moved us to that booth to be more comfortable. I came in already knowing what I was going to order - the Grilled Cheese Birria! Our entire party ended up with birria in some form. Hubby - El Torero Burrito, and the youngest had the Birria Plate dinner. We were given chips, salsa and beans to start. The beans were a first for me - usually just receive salsa at most places. The chips were fresh and the salsa was not too spicy. The food was amazing, and we didn't have to wait too long. We would definitely recommend, and will be returning on another visit.
