This was our second time going to this shop and was excited to see they were open on Sunday. Well I don't enjoy leaving bad reviews but I have to share my disappointment. First off I'll start off by saying how unorganized it was between the lady who took our order and the cook back in the kitchen. The fact they didn't take a name or give us an order number just seems crazy. The cook bringing out the food to everyone had no idea we're any of it went nor did the customers really know if it was infact their order. 2nd my order was wrong. Had to correct him twice on what we actually ordered and even then I was so frustrated that we just left even though it still wasn't correct ( ordered a double biscuit and gravy but only got a single ). The order taker and cook I could tell had no experience and were probably new to this but I'm disappointed in leadership for not creating a better plan to keep things organized and easy for the customers. My family and I will never be going back and hope nobody else has a similar experience with their family on a...
Read moreThis bake shop was recommended several times to my family when we inquired about must visit locations. We made a point to hit up this shop on our most recent trip. Located in the Red Mountain Kitchen, they had a variety of tasty treats including cookies, pecan pie bars, galettes, crumb cakes, and more. The flavors are spot on! My husband and I both loved the pecan pie bar - not too sweet and there was just the right hint of warm spices in the mix! The crumb cake was so moist and the blueberry filling perfectly balanced. The raspberry filling in the shortbread cookies had just the right amount of zing and the cookie just melted in your mouth. The crust on the galette was flaky and the filling scrumptious! The family that runs it is amazing! It was a great pleasure conversing with them as we picked out our treats. We definitely recommend the small bake shop if you are in the area.    Read moreI had a pretty disappointing experience this morning. I visited Rise & Shine Bake Shop for a coffee and treat this morning, the cashier was nice and I think maybe still in training. I ordered a 16 ounce hot white chocolate mocha & a pastry. While ringing me up the cashier asked the barista if a 16oz was a small in hot- the barista said no, a small is 12oz. I confirmed to both of them I wanted 16oz. The cashier rang me up. I went to the bar to pick up my drink- it had cute latte art and I noticed it looked small- I asked the barista if it was 16oz, she said "No a 16oz is a medium". I said alright well I ordered in terms of 16oz not a small, medium or large. the Barista was visibly upset, said something like next time you need to pay more- took the drink back and remade it. The coffee it self was just alright- the shots were burnt. I did not taste the first coffee. I was excited to go in because I had heard people...
