Zip's Drive-In — Restaurant in Kennewick

I will say I love their food, but since the new owners took over, i would have to say they got greedy! There chicken/fish baskets have gotten smaller in size, and the price went up. Speaking of price, my mother and i just went in the other day to get my grandma a burger. Well, we were going to get something for ourselves till we saw the prices. ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW? Their foods are good but NOT that good. How are their doors still open. I used to drive by every day and see their special written on their board and always wondered why places have to have specials. Why can't everything thing just be at a reasonable price. You want the community to do you a favor by eating there. Well, do us a favor and make it so we can (AFFORDABLE). The workers were awesome getting food out and very polite. Nice work, guys! It would also be nice if they added vegan options, just speaking for us vegans. I really try not to eat out, but if i ever decided to, it would be nice to have that option. I would love to give a 5 star review. Hopefully, the new owners will take this into consideration. Actually, you know what would be cool if they had the whole front of the building open so you could just walk up to the counter from outside like you did back in the day (I saw pictures) now that would be cool. Terrible. Idk if they were just in a rush or what but there was nobody inside the restaurant and only 1 car behind me in the drive-thru so they definitely weren't busy. 🤷‍♀️ We ordered a bacon cheeseburger with jalapeño tots, belly buster with reg. tots, chicken strip basket, corn dog. I took 1 bite into my bacon burger and my son took a bite next to mine so this picture isn't even in the middle of the burger it's all the way around raw. But BOTH mine and my husband's burgers were RAW, not pink, but RAW, the only brown it had on it was the top layer and these are not thick hb patties whatsoever so theres no excuse! 🤢 I absolutely HATE red/pink meat however my husband likes his meat med. rare and he wouldn't even eat it, and he eats anything! So I knew I wasn't overreacting. His tots also were disgusting they were drenched in soaked up old oil and soft, so again undercooked. 🤦‍♀️ The chicken strip basket is a joke. Do not order it they are thin tiny strips of 3 and french fries that were again not cooked soggy and sitting in a pile of grease. Gross. We paid $56 for entire meals we couldn't eat and went into the trash😠 I hadn't eaten a thing yet that day and it was around 7ish p.m so that just added to the disappointment and frustration. The Cable Bridge Zip's has gone down hill. I was visiting Kennewick and decided to go thru the Zip's drive-thru vs going to a national chain. Big mistake. We ordered a Large Wrangler combo and a small fry. It took awhile to order as the employee apparently couldn't hear our order on thr microphone. At the first window the total was $15 and some change. The Wrangler was on special at $6.75, a large combo is an additional $5.04, small fry was over $2. At the order pickup window, we waited for 9 minutes. They tried to bring me the wrong order at one point. Once we got our $$$ food, the large drink, was tiny! Not worth even close to $5.04 for a fry and small drink. The employee said a large combo comes with a medium drink. Weird... No napkins were given to us either. The Wrangler was pretty blah, the bun was unevenly toasted. The fries weren't salted and no salt was in the bag. Needless to say the food didn't live up to the large price or the long wait.
