I ordered the Country Fried Steak with brown gravy and mashed potatoes, and it was simply amazing. This was hands down one of the best, if not the best, country fried steaks Iâve ever had. The steak was perfectly cookedâcrispy on the outside, tender on the insideâand smothered in rich, flavorful brown gravy. The mashed potatoes were creamy and the perfect complement to the steak.
The cafe itself is a charming little diner with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly attentive and made sure I had everything I needed throughout my meal. Itâs clear they take pride in providing excellent service, and it made my dining experience all the more enjoyable.
The only downside is that they close early at 1 pm and stop taking orders by 12:30 pm, so make sure to get there early to enjoy their delicious food. Also, the drinking cups are on the smaller side, which means needing frequent refills. But honestly, these minor inconveniences are easily overshadowed by the quality of the food and the warmth of the staff.
If you're ever in Kenosha and looking for a great meal in a cozy setting, I highly recommend stopping by Danny's Cafe. You won't be...
Read moređ¤ đ đđđđđ I've been stopping in Danny's on and off for quite a while. They take the last order for lunch at 12:30 to 12:45 in the afternoon. So if you're a late lunch eater, the doors will be locked when you get there. Danny's is hugely popular for breakfast. And Danny's knows how to make a real omelette not a scramble that's posing as an omelet. They stuff their omelets with tons of delicious accoutrements. I love to ask for mushrooms, onions and cheese on my hash browns also. Don't knock it if you haven't tried it, LOL. Danny's is a nuts and bolts type of place with not a bunch of bells and whistles. You go there to eat and meet friends. There is a lot of entertaining signage on the walls that customers donate and ownership brings in. That's enough to keep anyone occupied, and a lot of it is really hilarious. Stop in for an early lunch and of course breakfast. You won't be disappointed in this down home establishment. I'd say you could call it down home country...

There are funny signs all over the walls to entertain you, mostly friendly and attentive staff to take care of you and fair, but not cheap prices for your meal. We had breakfast and being late in the day, we figured we were stretching the staff and getting a quick made meal for ourselves and one other table that came in just short of an hour before close. We were greeted at the door and told it was still ok to come and eat. I wouldnât say this was our favorite breakfast out, but besides some hard to chew American potatoes, we canât say it was âbadâ by any means. Definitely filled us up and the coffee was ok once we flagged someone down for cream and sugar that had already been cleared from the tables for the day. The train decor is cute and there are plenty of tables and parking. Menu is attached and offer enough choices for a diner. You can sit at a table or by the classic diner...
