Imperial Garden Beijing Duck Dim Sum Seafood — Restaurant in Kent

Very disappointed in their dim sum, read the reviews and had high hopes for this place. I came on a Monday after the lunch rush (2pm) there wasn’t a line or anything. Tried to get the servers attention but both of them dismisses me. I finally got a seat and they sat me down in the back corner and kinda forgot me. I waited for 20 min only for one waiter to notice and to finally ask if I want tea or any drinks, I told him I’ll take ice water and I’m ready to order and he nods and went back and got me a pot of tea, fine, I’ll just drink tea instead lol but I’m really want to order, waiter leave right after he sets the pot down and doesn’t even give me a chance to order. I completely understands if it’s super busy but honestly there was only 6 table of people and most of them already is eating and finishing up. I finally orders my dimsum items and waited another 20-30min for the food to come out. The tripe was flavorless I have to use a lot of soy sauce, the shrimp noodle was super thick and doesn’t have the sweet/savory taste only soy sauce, the congee has barely any eggs or pork the only good dish was the spareribs everything else was a pass for me. I tried asking for water again because everything was too salty and he ignores me and goes to clean a table beside me. At this point I’m really disappointed, I’m trying to pay and I end up having to go up to the counter because no one was coming to me for 15 min. Where do I begin as the service was mortifying! Quality and taste of food mediocre. Wait time as expected 25 mins or less per the server. After seating us at a rather small table for 5, there is where our horror began. Our server was the worst server we’ve could’ve asked for. As we all 5 sat, she places our plates and utensils and walks away. We waited 5-10 mins for her to return to order drinks and she walked passed us 5 times and didn’t acknowledge us as I was trying to make eye contact, instead I had raise my hand and voice to get her attention. She comes over and we ask can we have order drinks please...mind you we only asked for 1 sprite and 5 glasses of water. 20 mins pass no drinks, no attention to ask if we were ready to order...nothing. This is when I become irritated, I then flag her down again and asked can we get our drinks please and we’re ready to order...she says ok and walks away again. She gone again for another 10-13 mins walking back and forth and ignores us as she walks by 4 more times. I then had enough! This is my 4th time asking for our drinks...my husband then gets up take our order gives it to the cashier lady and ask please put this order in and I flag the server down again. This time I was not so polite and asked her rudely...where’s our drink? I’ve asked you 4 times and have tried to order numerous times and you just walk without addressing your table if we needed help or anything! Overall I would never go...

Warning ⚠️, King County public health gave this restaurant an unsatisfactory 🙁 rating during the inspection on 5/17/23 with 32 (25 red and 7 blue) points. They were 10 points away (35 pts) from a mandatory reinspection within 14 days. They failed at hand washing 🤲🧼, maintaining proper food temperature 🌡️, expired employee food safety cards, poor surface sanitation, and not maintaining the overall facility properly. Worst customer service ever and quality of food is not great and expensive. Save your money and go elsewhere for dim sum 🍜🥟🥡. The employees here treat you as if you are begging 🙏 for food and not a paying 💵 customer. There is no welcome to Imperial Garden, rather you are ignored or they ask what do you want rudely. I am not a sample size of one, when we visited here several times, they treat the other customers the same way. Even worse, when the restaurant is not busy, no one helps but rather, they are focused using their smartphones📱. The employees often smoke 🚬 on the side of the restaurant and you can see dark liquid stains and cigarette butts all over from the side screen door.
