In the midst of corporate parks and industrial complexes sits this small and unassuming Japanese burger place that many locals are probably familiar with, so bear with me locals. As a visitor I had to give it a try after being disappointed with the stunningly bad Buffalo chicken sandwich from Arby’s next door. I ordered the Wabi Wasabi burger. The menu says “beef burger” but I requested to swap that for chicken and the lady warmly complied. Service was quick since it was just me and another customer waiting for his order. I’ve had the Teriyaki chicken burger before and it was a Perfect 10, imho. The Wasabi burger rates 6.5. I kept thinking while working (key word “working”) on the patty that can only be described as enormous that it’s “good but not damn good.” It’s a thoroughly satisfying sandwich, but I personally found the combination of wasabi mayo, which lacked any distinct wasabi flavor, and the dark tangy teriyaki sauce didn’t really work together; like an incompatible couple on a blind date forcing their way into clicking. The raw onions, tomatoes and cabbage only added to the confusion, but I was only too hungry to go along for the ride. It wasn’t an Arby’s-like disappointment, but it left me wishing I got the Teriyaki burger instead. Now that’s the real headliner, imo.

First time trying it. Very interesting. Good: Love the crunchy crust on the burger. The texture is great! The burger is piles way high. Like the coleslaw instead of lettuce. Not so good: The young girl who took the order was not courteous, almost unfriendly. The tables/chairs were dirty with crumbs and grease. Obviously no one cares. The burger meat tasted a bit mushy. Almost feels like it’s not all meat, but with fillers instead. The Wabi burger had a slight wasabi taste, not very strong. Service speed was very slow. Overall, the total score did not reach the bar of “return for more”. Update: re-visit after a year. Loved the wasabi burger. They now use kiosks to take orders, yet there’s a surcharge for using the kiosk. Got friendly service this time. Up the rating by a *.

Stopped by Katsu burger for an early dinner with a friend and man talk about some good comfort/hangover food. We ordered the wabi burger, Godzilla burger, 12 spice fries, banzai bites, and a croquette. A lot I know but even all this only came to 38 bucks, not so bad! The burgers were enormous, the fries were crispy, croquette was gooey, and the bites weren’t even a little bit dry. Also their dipping sauces were amazing as was the staff working. I will say the place was a little dirty from all the tables which remained unoccupied to the restroom but I guess not everyone is perfect 🤷🏽‍♀️ I do also love the addition of drawings on the sandwich wrappers- it’s the little things that count. Thanks for a great sandwich!

I'm not sure how I like it. I do like the fries, but I sometimes wish they would use less seasoning, as it gets to be very salty tasting.

As for the breaded hamburger. I'm not so sure I like it. It is different, but it's harder to eat then a regular hamburger of the same size. It falls apart. I do like the sauce they use on the Godzilla and the toppings.

I have tried it twice and I'm not sure I will go back very often or if at all, pricey, I may try another style of hamburger before giving up completely.

3.23.23 Edited: So, I figured I would give them another try. I'm not a fan of the new order screen. They a tually take longer to read the display then it is to talk to someone. Why why why even ask for a tip? Can I tip myself(discount) for ordering the food myself.

I ordered the samurai burger. It said it had Pinapple....nope none on my hamburger. It did have lots of Wasabi flavor on it, as it's all I could taste.

Won't be coming back...
