I just had the worst breakfast sandwich of my life here. You know how only once every 2-5 years you get served something from a restaurant that is actually disgusting and truly resvolting and makes you feel sick? That was the breakfast sandwich I had served to me here today.
I ordered the basic cheese bacon and egg breakfast sandwich, on a cheese bagel. The sandwich served to me was inexplicably shriveled and absolutely drenched in oil. I'm not a picky eater so figured I'd eat it anyway but as I tried to make my way through the sandwich I realized the bacon was under cooked as well as some of the fattiest bacon 🥓 I've ever had the displeasure of paying more than $12 for. The bacon was cut thick but had a ratio of about 70% fat to 30% meat. There was almost no egg on the sandwich, yet there was yolk covering the entire outside of the bagel making it even more difficult to eat. It was a complete mess. The effect this created while eating was that of me eating a dry bagel that has only slices of thick fatty bacon and somehow also a wet oil soaked piece of bread pulled out of a cold deep frier. I did not realize these two sensations could exist in the same sandwich but Macrina Bakery & Cafe taught me taught me that today, and that's about the only good thing I can say about them.
It was my first time visiting this store, I can't speak to the quality of the pastries as I only got a breakfast sandwich and a coffee.
Please spare yourself some heart ache and stomach ache and do not get the breakfast sandwiches here.
(My girlfriend got the same breakfast sandwich with an everything bagel instead of cheese and it was marginally less oily. Both of us threw away the 2nd half of our sandwiches after realizing we weren't forced to eat them)
P.S. the sandwiches were also underseasoned on...

Read moreWent here to get coffee for work, and found it overpriced and not great quality. Together for cold brew of the smallest size and a brownie it was 13 bucks without tip.
The cold brew by itself was good, if a very small portion. I asked room to be left for cream, and then when I went to add cream from the self serve area they were completely out and too busy to notice me asking for a refill so I just used oatmilk from my office fridge when I got back.
The Sea Salt Caramel Brownie - a complete disappointment. It could have used a little more salt. The caramel was flavorless. The brownie, while you could taste the dark chocolate chips, was extremely powdery? I could have gotten a better baked brownie from Fred Meyer. They did not get to warm it and just gave it to me too, which probably did not help the taste. For double the price of Starbucks, a Starbucks brownie was three times better. I was very sad about my...
