Riverbend Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Kent

Was excited to try the new grill down at the Kent golf course. Unfortunately, was pretty disappointed. I ordered the charcuterie board. It consisted of 7 crackers, 1 inch ball of Boursin cheese, 3 thin slices of Gorgonzola cheese, 1 then slice of prosciutto, 5 slices of salami that were so thin you could see the board through them and some cranberry sauce. First visit here since opening. Food was decent, service was great and I like how they’ve changed the layout a bit. They’ve got a much better TV setup, so I’m hoping it’ll be a good spot to have dinner and watch hockey or baseball. Food prices were reasonable and it’ll be interesting to see how the menu evolves as they figure out what works and what doesn’t. Like, I can’t see someone getting their $60 steaks at a golf course pub, but I’d love to see their varieties of salads, burgers and sandwiches expand. Those brussels sprouts...

The vibe of this place is “Sports Bar” so don’t think you have to play golf to enjoy this place. I have previously reviewed the Mahi-Mahi Tacos. I have finished the Riverbend Double-Burger and although it was delicious, it was more than I should have eaten. Today I went for something lighter and the Garden Salad with Grilled Chicken was the choice. Tender, well seasoned chicken and their Bleu Cheese Dressing was great.
