I’ll start with the good. The, who I’m guessing is owner, was extremely friendly. I enjoyed talking to her while I was there. The place is cute and appeared clean.
The items I purchased. 4 scones of various flavors. We tried the lemon blueberry - it was awful. It tasted like play dough, very odd texture, almost uncooked tasting as well as old. We also tried the Apple scone. I was hopeful because it had a good cinnamon smell, but no, it was not good either. The apple chunks were hard and chewy. The dough was too soft. If I’m guessing they tasted as if they were made fresh, wrapped, frozen and then rethawed. We decided to not try the other two because they looked the same consistency as the other two. These were all thrown away. Very sad, I had high hopes since the name has scones in it.
The macrons. I purchased 3 . The cherry one was edible. Tasted like a sugar cookie and after trying the other two I wish I had bought three of this flavor.. The coconut was terrible. The, what tasted like mint extract was way too overbearing and tasted like chemicals. The chia macron was even worse. The smell was good but the taste was absolutely horrible. We threw 2 away and ate 1.
We honestly feel sick to our stomachs between the play dough like scones and the overbearing macrons. Could be either or both. We were only able to take a bite of each thing we tried.
We also purchased 2 cookies but haven’t tried them and I don’t think we will. $25.00 for inedible food.
Lovely lady, great vibe, but disappointed in the bakery...
Read moreEdit: I've become a regular at this little shop. The cookies are ridiculously good and the macarons are an addiction. These are legit macarons, too - they don't taste like the manufactured/frozen disappointment I mostly see. Great place for a small appreciation gift as well.
Cute little place with a fun atmosphere. I love how the names are play on words, I love the vinyls and posters on the wall, and I love there's a little couch where you can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee and a goodie or two. The best part is they have some really great music playing.
The goodies were delicious. When I went in there were a selection of cupcakes, macarons, cookies, cake pops, lots of scones, and a couple of muffins. I bought a variety to share so we could taste a little bit of everything.
We ordered cups of coffee and they were sure to brew us a fresh pot which I really appreciate. The service was excellent and the people were so friendly. Exactly what you would expect in a mom and pop bakery. Really an enjoyable experience overall.
It kind of brings back some nostalgia of old coffee shops and cafes. If you miss that sort of thing definitely stop in when you have a few minutes to spare and can sit and really soak...
Read moreEverything about our experience was amazing. The owner was incredible. She was nice, informative and patient. You're allowed and encouraged to play the musical instruments inside. She gave my 2 year old a special gift for her first time being there (a small rubber ducky) . We also happened to notice she has an inclusive work environment and the area seemed accessible to the worker. As far as the food, omg! It was amazing!! My roommates tried two gluten free items, the tiramasu cupcake and the oreo which they said were perfect. It's hard to achieve a genuinely good gluten free item, let alone dessert. We also tried the Dubai chocolate, marshmallow macaroon, New Kids on the Choc cookie, cherry Garcia pastry, and got an AWESOME chocolate record for my nephew for his birthday. Everything tasted amazing and legit made me decide to get my daughters birthday catered here. 10000/10 I can't recommend this place enough. And all of it for only $22!!! I...
