Would give zero stars if I could…..
EDIT / ADDENDUM: I called the restaurant after writing this review and throwing the food out. They had Lucy (?) call me back. She said she'd refund our money if we brought the food back. We placed most of the uneaten food in the delivery bag, but some was literally hard to dig out of the garbage, so I took a photo of it. The male (owner?) was smug, offensive and quite argumentative, argued with us, said there was nothing left of the vegetables, and was going to pay us only $13 for the returned Pad Thai. He also denied any knowledge of the female who called us back. What happened to customer service and making this right? I was going to entirely remove this review, but after arguing with us for over 5 minutes, here it is.... My husband ordered dinner through Uber Eats tonight. Looked up the reviews here. several very complimentary, so we ordered... Besides paying extra for priority delivery, it was late and cold and needed to be reheated. THIS is a DINNER PORTION? These portions are skimpy even for a lunch portion. Even if the food was 5/5 (it wasn't), I'm giving less stars because this is a rip off. The chicken skewers were greasy considering they are supposed to be grilled. The mixed vegetables with garlic sauce, although a decent mix (broccoli, carrots, green peppers, water chestnuts and mushrooms), had NO hint of garlic
sauce whatsoever, or spiciness ( an option when ordering). Also, we could choose what we wanted with the vegetables: white rice, Lo mein, fried rice, etc. The white rice we chose was in the container with the veggies, not in a standard separate white takeout box, and occupying a good portion where the veggies should have been. The pad Thai was bland, spice-less and very skimpy with the chicken. "Inedible" per my husband and I threw mine out. NEVER have I done that. What a waste of $40.00. ( NEVER have I called a restaurant like I did tonight; thank goodness I never had to). Bottom line: CHOOSE...
Read moreI decided to try out this Chinese restaurant after seeing some positive reviews, but my experience was far from what I expected. My order was for takeout, and the interaction over the phone should have been my first red flag. The woman taking my order was rude, rushed me through the call, and didn’t even tell me the total—just said it would be ready in 10 minutes.
When I arrived to pick up the food, I was shocked to find that the total was $50 for just two meals, which included egg rolls and crab rangoons. That price felt way too high for what we got, but at that point, I was already there and just hoped the food would be worth it.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t.
Lo Mein: Extremely disappointing. The noodles were way overcooked, making them mushy, and the dish itself was completely bland—no seasoning, no flavor, just a pile of tasteless noodles.
Fried Rice: One of the few redeeming parts of the meal. It had good flavor and was cooked well.
Bourbon Chicken: Actually really good. It was flavorful, well-cooked, and had a nice balance of sweetness and smokiness. If anything, this was the highlight of the meal.
Crab Rangoons: Just okay. They weren’t bad, but they weren’t great either—about a 6/10. They lacked the rich, creamy filling that makes a great crab rangoon.
Egg Rolls: Nothing special. Definitely not worth the...
Read moreI've been coming here since i was probably in 3rd grade. it's been abt a year since i've ate here but i took my boyfriend here tonight to grab some food (he had never ate here before so i wanted to introduce him to it) came home and ate it. it was downright DISGUSTING. i almost threw up. i don't know how to explain it other than that the food must've been out for HOURS and it was REHEATED. some of the beef i had was lukewarm and other pieces of the beef was cold. the biggest tell tale for me though beside the different temperatures of the beef that it had to have been reheated was the sauce. every time i have gotten it there FRESH the sauce was like a watery substance & tasted amazing! this time it tasted terrible and the sauce was like a jello consistency. it was very clumpy, and was sticking on its own. idk how else to describe it. i feel upset that i suggested this place to my boyfriend but i'm also upset because i couldn't even eat any of the beef or vegetables because even the meat it self tasted so bad. i've really enjoyed this place for so many years but clearly things have changed. i will never be back, id rather go to panda and actually SEE how they're making my food vs not knowing, spending a decent amount of money, and not even eating half of my food because it tastes so bad. so...
