Welp, I suppose I should addres the thre topics at hand; food(like substances),(un)timely service, and (explosive) atmosphere. First and foremost I acknowledge that I did this to myself. No one forced me at gunpoint (this time) to order what I ordered.
Im gonna start with atmosphere. Its loud, its always loud. I know this, you know this, the waitress who keeps repeating herself know this. Then there is the foghorn-esque celebratory chants. Had to plug my ears for a bit. But I noticed this the last time I went (which wasn't much better but I had to go a second time before commenting), for some reason at some point the music went from a 5 to an 8 for no apparent reason. I had trouble hearing much of anything after that, resorting to physical gestures with the waitress as opposed to attempting to yell at her.
Speaking of waitress, the service was fine. Beer took about 7-8 minutes, rolls (which I find to be better suited as a dessert) took about 5 minutes. Again, service was fine. The biggest draw back would be the follow-up. Both the server and (who I would presume to be) the manager stopped by after received my food, asked how it was, the immediately provided an answer to their own question...good. I just gave an awkward half grin, looked down at my plate, and lap, and table, and floor, then looked back at them..sure...if you say it's good, then I will just assume this is normal (and again, I accept full responsibility for ordering what I did from a place that was birthed in Indiana). (Yes, you read that right, Indiana).
And so, the food. Chicken fried steak (or whatever they choose to call it despite the well established moniker of Chicken Fried Steak throughout the entire state of Texas), broccoli, mashed potatoes, and cream gravy. Where to start, small to large. The broccoli tasted like a salt lick. If you dont know what that tastes like, use your imagination, im sure you can figure it out. The cream gravy had more sugar in it than cream. Make it a little thicker, put it on pancakes, and call country icing. The potatoes were quite tasty, tasted like real potatoes, very yummy and real mashed potatoes. Unfortunately it appears the Texas Roadhouse recipe design team had never heard of butter, nor milk. Someone should probably let them know what butter is and how to use it. I already mentioned the dessert rolls, people love them, and I can understand why. They are kind of like Mexican sweet breads, only sweeter and not as dry (and nothing like Mexican sweet bread). I won't mention the cinnamon sugar spread they give you as I seem to be the only person in the world that is not a fan. But again, dessert bread and spread. So, that leaves the main course, chicken Fried Sirloin (I think they call it). So this thing came out and took up just about the entire plate, I mean, I've seen bigger but this was impressive(ly deceiving). Fortunately every silver ware roll has a steak knife, unfortunately the steak knife did little more than shatter the oversized breading encasement. When I say shatter, I mean pieces flew everywhere (like I mentioned previously) I could find chunks of the burnt oil tasting stuff on the floor, my lap, and strewn across the table top, chunks of rock hard, burnt breading (If you can call it breading as it obviously is some other substance entirely). Cutting in to the breading was an adventure, as hunting for the meat inside was a daunting task. After the third attempt I finally located the thin piece of leather hidden inside. I eventually managed to cut a few pieces of the leather, and even found myself able to choke down a couple bites, however I was soon defeated. Paid my check, and opted for a slice of pizza from next door.
The location of this establishment is great. I'm sure a lot of people love it. As for the food, you aren't quite getting what you paid for and for what your getting your overpaying. Over time I will find a dish or two I can stomach. Last time was the incredibly over-salted steak (it was cooked appropriately which is a big plus). Next time maybe ill...

The waitress was excellent and the atmosphere very upbeat, we will most definitely give this place a second chance. Most appreciated the quick response. Thank you! Good luck in your success.
We arrived a few minutes after 5om, and ordered 2kids Critters meals, 1 adult salad with Critters , drinks and food immediately. Brittany the waitress was very attentive and after 40 minutes of no food kept apologizing. The female manager then came out very apologetic and stated the chicken critters were overcooked and not eatable, more were being made. I told her the kids had been eating rolls and drinking their milk as they were so hungry and probably would be full by the time the food came out as would I. About 5-7 minutes later the food came and sure enough the kids were no longer hungry. I ate about a 1/4 of mine and asked for the check. Brittany brought me a box for the chicken as the kids ate nothing. I was disappointed that the bill had no discount for their mistake and ruining what was suppose to be a good dinner experience. This was a $37.15 mistake, and additionally I left a 20% tip as the waitress was very good, the food issue was not on her. Shame on this manager for making me pay full price for food not eaten, especially when she came out to state she was sorry that the kitchen screwed up! Table...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible service tonight.
Three of our family ate in house. They got my order wrong. I ordered a filet. When I questioned if it was a filet, I was told “yes it is.” Cut into the steak and immediately knew it wasn’t a filet and said, this is not a filet. Person delivering argued it was. When our server came back, I told her that cut was not a filet and it was also not edible. She took it back and got a manager who confirmed it was not a filet and made a new steak. We had ordered a takeout meal for another family member at home. It arrived before my new steak so it sat there getting cold. We get home and realize it’s not the complete order. I call and am transferred to three people before a manager. They are closing in 5 min and we live 15 min away. The manager makes me explain everything above and says: that explains why we have an extra salad and I remember the server taking care of your steak so what’s the problem? The problem ma’am is we didn’t receive your standard service tonight and as the manager, I’d think you’d want to hear feedback to better your service, not question a patron who’s not had a great experience. I was not asking for free food. I paid for all of the food I didn’t even receive and tipped accordingly. I wasn’t even asking for the missing food. I was calling to tell you about my poor experience which actually just made my...
