Sweet Sally's Ice Cream Bar — Restaurant in Keokuk

Tried this on a recent trip. The location is bright and open. We wanted it to be great, but sorry to say it was underwhelming. We ordered hot fudge Sundaes. Vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup was delivered. It was ok. 3 people working with only one other customer and we still had to walk over to get the waiter to place our order. Hope they get more business this summer, but it’s hard to see them succeeding in present form. We do wish them the best and hope they make it. They need to find a signature item to distinguish themselves. Not confident the bar/ice cream shop is a great model. Where do i even start?! My now husband and I have been to Sweet Sally’s for little ice cream dates. ALWAYS friendly, fast service! We recently got married and decided to have Sally’s host our reception! they went absolutely above and BEYOND to take care of my wedding party! from going out of their way to get fresh bananas for the Grooms banana milkshake, to the bartender serving drinks with a smile, to the servers being happy to accommodate to anything we needed! not only will we be back with the kids for more ice cream, we will be having most of our parties there from here on out!! if you’re nervous about booking them, DONT BE!!!! This little ice cream/bar has remodeled the place and has it looking fresh in there, set up for little groups on one side and the bar on the other. Great ice cream and great food every time I have been here. They're also great about contributing to the city of Keokuk. They have held Christmas photo sessions with Mr Santa and mrs Claus, free dinners to the community on holidays along with several other self-less deeds for the town.
