OMG, this place is amazing! We stopped in while waiting for our New York style pepperoni from Nostra 2 next door (Also an amazing place you should try, if you haven't!) and grabbed a bag full of various baked treats from the cases. Holy crap, every single thing is seriously amazing! I personally love anything with custard and this is my new heaven, I'm typing this while eating one of their quesadillas (like a quesito, but more like a cheese Danish) and it's my new favorite thing in the world. The center filling is like a cross between flan and cheesecake, while the pastry is perfectly moist, yet flaky. If you don't know what the labels say, don't worry, just pick what looks good, or just ask for help! The ladies at the front are very nice and you honestly couldn't go wrong even if you just turned in circles and pointed at a pastry, cake, or cookie, they're all fantastic! Go support this place!
Edit: went back again today, bought multiples of the favorites from last time, omg everything is so so so good, I'm hooked on anything this place does...
Read moreReally wonderful spot that Kernersville is lucky to have. I had never been before and didn't know the protocol.
Although I can get by in Spanish if someone speaks to me slowwwwwly, I didn't have to, as they had an employee fluent in English to help me. I took a tray and some tongs and wandered amongst the display cases loading up the tray.
There are a huge variety of pastries, sweet breads, and even churros, doughnuts, and... cornbread?! I haven't gotten to try everything I bought yet, but what I've bitten into was fresh and delicious.
Also, inexpensive! I can't remember the exact names of everything I got, but it was 7 pastries/sweet breads, a churro, and a packet of wheat duros for only $21.41! I couldn't believe it.
They also have sodas, fresh produce, chips and candy like a convenience store might have. Except the vegetables (tomatillos, onions, peppers, cilantro) looked really fresh and healthy....

They have conchas (shell shaped bread), cerditos (pig shaped bread), cream cheese filled pastries, jelly filled rolls with icing, mini cookies (the ones with pecan bits melt in your mouth!) They also have fresh rolls (bolillos) and homemade tortillas. They also have cake slices including tres leches. They have some fresh produce including jalapeños and cilantro. They even have grocery items such as Abuelita Mexican chocolate, Jarritos drinks, Valentina hot sauce and more! There are churros and donuts available at the checkout counter.
