I stopped by here on my way home from work on 4/19/22 as it was a “fend for self” type of day for dinner. I had been craving Waffle House, so I decided to stop on by.
There was only 1 couple in the restaurant, so it wasn’t busy at all. I was able to Waitress said they got new menu a few months ago and will be getting another soon. She added that they get new menus often and the prices go up.
I ordered my food around 7:52pm and they started working on it pronto. I ordered my usual, Texas bacon cheesesteak melt (onions included) with regular hashbrowns and a sweet tea. Tabby said the tea was a fresh batch. It wasn’t bad, but wasn’t sweet enough for me haha. I added some sugar that was on the table and it was good to go! My food was ready around 7:56pm. My food was tasty and definitely satisfied my craving! You ever had over cooked hashbrowns?? Ew! These were definitely not it as they were cooked to perfection.
My waitress was Tabby, per name badge. She, along with the female cook (Sandria), we’re really sweet and friendly. When it picked up a little bit, I watched Sandria change her globes frequently and helped out Tabby when people started. It was great to see teamwork!
After I finished eating, I had to use the restroom. I must admit that the restroom smelled funny… almost like dirty mop water BUT it was clean, nonetheless, for Waffle House.
Overall, pretty good experience. If I wasn’t playing games on my phone, I would’ve been in and out in 25 or less minutes. There is a jukebox by the window if anyone wants to listen to their favorite tunes. No issues or complaints for this visit. One suggestion (as if any manager is reading this, would be to have a way to utilize coupons without printing them off. I had a free waffle for my birthday and I forgot to print it before...
Read moreThis is the absolute worst Waffle House I have ever been to. First time I placed a to go order it wasn’t ready after placing 45 minutes in advance, then I was told it would be another 30 when I arrived and it was an issue to do a refund because no one knew how.
I’m up here again now, 4/6/2025, placed a to go order over an hour ago, asked for no onions on two items and both have onions. Now I’m waiting for it to be cooked all over again, asked for a refund, was told it’s already on the grill so I said okay, then I hear her call the order out after telling me it’s being cooked. This trainer obviously has some beef with her fellow waitresses, then kisses A to customers in the most non genuine way for their lack of prompt service. Waitresses are running around in here like they can’t keep up with anything.
If they can’t keep up with normal day to day customer service and cooking, it makes me doubt they are staying on top of other duties such as cleanliness.
Update: just got my order that was redone, still wrong,...
Read moreWaffle house is well. Waffle House. A place for quick road food, edible and safe. Hopefully. Kernersville is over whelmed by 8 guests. There are about 8 employees here. But yet tables are dirty, guests are waiting, staff is standing around doi.g nothing. Yoh ask for crispy, they come un cooked, they forget a waffle, and when it comes after asking for it, it's raw inside. I know it's waffle house, but waffle is in the name, they should be able to get these things right. Train your staff, manage your staff. The people are nice, don't get me wrong, but there are things I'd expect to have Waffel House get right, like waffles, has browns, coffee refill, creamers when coffee does get refilled. You know. I'm not getting a discount for poor service, I'm not getti.g a discount on tipping. The experience was just poor. Just poor. Management seems non existent. That's tough, cause there are a lot of folks on both sides of the counter that need a managed experience. Waffle house should be fun. Not...
