Service was mediocre at best restaurant is extremely hot we ordered the fried ravioli appetizer and it comes with what is supposed to be a marinara dipping sauce that nobody warned was spicy enough to set the surface of the Sun on fire on top of the spice their food is very obviously Frozen not fresh I ordered a cheese ravioli over a bed of spaghetti and they have different sauce options and I was told the sauce that I wanted was a $3 up charge my meal came with a salad she asked me what kind of dressing I said Caesar and she said there is a dollar upcharge for Caesar dressing the food is already kind of pricey and when I selected a different sauce I was expecting a different sauce I enjoy spicy food so I ordered their spicy pasta sauce it was identical to my wife's plane tomato-based pasta sauce that she got on her food except somebody opened a can of crushed red pepper into the sauce and charged $3 my wife's cheese tortellini is the exact same cheese tortellini you buy at Walmart in the cult deli section you take home boil it in a pot and throw Ragu on it not impressed at all and would not recommend this restaurant I am willing to pay good money for good quality food and was very disappointed that I paid good money for food I could have gotten at Walmart and...

We've been several times since they opened. Each time was progressively worse. This time was terrible. Our salad bowls were practically empty compared to others walking past that were over flowing?!? We waited much longer than many other tables arriving after us to get our food, too. It seemed that we were an inconvenience to Savannah this evening, like she would have fathered we didn't show up at all. They had plenty of wait staff this evening and other nights we had been there were 2 folks working! Our drinks did get filled by the hostess, so I can't complain about that. You are supposed to get 2 rolls per entree and we always have to ask for more bread and it's again, like we are asking for something extra for free. I thought being a paying customer would be appreciated. I was wrong.

Edit: recent visit was way more pleasant than previous. I have a new favorite dish - the garlic and olive oil spaghetti! Roasted garlic was to die for. I’m addicted to their house dressing, so much so I ask for the large dinner salad with meal - only to find out you pay full price for it as if that was all you were ordering - $4.99 for that and No, you don’t get the large and the one that comes with the meal...oh well, live and learn, I suppose. The food is...

I would put 0 stars for the service if it would let me. The food is good but the customer service including the owner, is HORRIBLE! We called at 8:15pm to place an order and the girl told us they don’t take carry out orders after 8:00p.m. and remind you they close at 9:00p.m. So we drove over there to see if they would let us place the order and pay and the girl went to ask the owner and I heard him yell “kitchen is closed at 8:30p.m.” They need to change their closing hours from 9:00p.m. to 8:30p.m. if they’re not willing to serve anyone up until THEIR posted closing time! This is not the first bad experience with this place either. I have dined in and heard the owner yelling at his employee as well. It’s a shame because their food is really good!

Per your response: nobody is asking for you to bend the rules for me! We’re asking that you follow through with your posted hours. If you want to close your kitchen at 8:30 then say your restaurant closes at 8:30. We would’ve dined in which is why we drove over there during your NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS! Also maybe list your policy of the kitchen closing earlier than the restaurant, on the front door. Thank you & I hope you have a...

We took a day trip to Kerrville to come see the Cross and decided to stop at Carmines afterwards. We heard various things about the food, especially the pizza 🍕 so we were curious. I will say off the bat there are some unusual things about it. They serve no wines or liquors, they do have ☕, but no espresso or cappuccinos. I am from New York and these are normally givens at an Italian spot. Also atmosphere wise it was very empty which caught us off guard for a Saturday. Yes, the pizza is as big as they say for an individual slice. Huge and these will fill you up fast. Quality wise the pepperoni, cheese and Marguerite slices were good, but the supreme was dry, uninspired, and over cooked. My wife had the chicken Parm. Hers was overcooked, though it looked good initially. She liked the spaghetti, 🍝 I found it plain with little flavor. Our waiter was quite nice and helpful. We made sure to leave him a good tip. We are not sure we would go back personally, but I am glad we did try it.

4/013/22 - we come here quite a bit and feel like part of the family. The food is amazing and I have introduced my family to this great place. If you want great food, amazing service (thank you Reba) and wonderful owners this is the place for you. Had a great Capreze salad, pizza and rolls. Always delicious!! We found this gem by accident and so glad we did. We were the only ones in her on 1/17/19 but it started filling up before we left. The food was amazing. We did pizza which had a great flavor. You can tell they use good italian tomatoes it tasted like my grandfather use to make it. The garlic knots were good as well. My husband had the lasagna and loved it. Between the service and the great music it was an amazing evening. We definitely will be back.

I have tried Pizza from a few different locations since I have been in Kerrville and being a Pizza Connoisseur I would like to think my judgement is valid. I grew up on Modern and Pepe Pizza in New Haven CT and I have tried pizza in every East coast state! This pizza gets a B+. It was in fact delicious and Now upon ordering the only thing I would change is in asking for extra sauce, despite requesting a well done pizza I did find it to be a bit dry... I understand that if you want a good pizza you will have to pay a good price and I was overall satisfied with my purchase.
