I dont know if you can dine-in, so i didnt want to give atmosphere a 0 either way. its a cute joint, with a fun pick-up window.
First, I had seen this place mentioned on reddit on the r/dayton sub asking who had the best wings in the area. This place came up and i wanted to try it but on Tuesdays(tonight, when I ordered), they had a deal for tenders and my kids really like tenders, so I went that route, thinking that if those were good, I would definitely try the wings in the future(Apparently there is a wing deal on wednesday. I think they have deals every day).
Dude at the window was super nice and greeted me right away. Turns out that is the owner. Dude had a cool beard! Anyways, super nice and complimented my choice of sauce on the tenders(Honey Habanero). 6 plain tenders and 6 honey habs with a large fry.
Those tenders were FIRE. Fries were good. Fries sort-of have a ceiling thats hard to break through(i think the cajun fries at 5 guys break that ceiling) but those tenders are the best ive ever had. First; theyre big and they were nice and hot and juicy! My daughter came out of her room and said "that was delicious." Ranch was real good too. I also got a side of Nashville hot dipping sauce, which i didnt care for. Nashville Hot is interesting because I normally always see it as a dry rub and this is the first ive had it as a sauce.
The website mentions that this deal is enough to meal plan your week. Thats probably true. My kids could only get through a single tender each(both teenagers). So, we got leftovers.
My only criticism would be the website mentions the tender tuesday as something different from what the picture says. Something similar happens with the Friday Family Meal Deal, which the picture would suggest you could do every day. Seems like a pretty good deal, to be honest.
I will be super excited to try the wings in the future, as well as other offerings. I really like mac n cheese and theirs looks tasty.
Place lived up to the hype and I hope it stays around for a while as it is literally right down the street from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe decided to give this place a try last night. Ordered online and it gave us a pickup time of 7:08pm. It stated online that I'd receive a text when the food was ready. We were out and about and wanted to pickup some grub we've never tried before to feed our family with. We arrived a few minutes early and the place was very busy which seemed like a good sign. We've never been there before so we patiently waited as customers were going back and forth to the window with their phones in their hands. After waiting over 20 minutes past the pick-up time I asked a customer that was leaving. He said they're calling out names. I walked to the window and explained that to the nice young lady. She said that was false and that I'll indeed receive a text when our order is ready. Back to my car I went. I finally received the text and went back up to get our food. Checked the bag before leaving and the family sized mac and cheese was not in the bag so I went back up to retrieve the item I paid for. She gave me a tiny little cup of mac and cheese. Not worth going back for since I had to wait even longer while the rest of our food is getting cold. Overall the food was not bad but several things were quite annoying. 1- Waiting 34 minutes past the pickup time 2-Did not receive everything ordered 3- Tipping ahead of service. (Definitely would not have tipped as much as I did) If we decide to give them another try and we have a better experience I'll gladly change my review. As of now it most certainly was not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time trying Chicken head's . We ordered some wings and tenders. The wings are absolutely delicious and I don't even eat wings often! Random note...the bag the wings come in was super convenient, love that they use a bag that you can zip close. The waffle fries were seasoned perfectly and a great side, they aren't all dry and shriveled up like some places. The tenders were pretty large and were good. I got the lemon pepper and garlic parmesan to dip....the lemon pepper was so good it caught me off guard. The garlic parmesan was just as good. I got the meal so it came with a roll and I don't know who made that roll but omg it was amazing, tastes like something you could only get at grandma's house...they should seriously consider selling those in bulk I would definitely buy a bunch! The meal came with a cookie from the cookieologist that was equally delicious! Also ordered some lemonade, it wasn't bad but prefer more sugar (just a personal preference) The only small issue was they use peanut oil so if you have a peanut allergy be aware. (My son has anaphylaxis to peanuts so can't eat it at homeš) The food was great and worth the $ we spent. Honestly around Dayton there aren't many places I recommend to others but we already mentioned and recommended it to some people. Can't wait until we can try some things from the full menu when they open the restaurant!! I only took 1 pic because I was too busy enjoying the food , I'll take some and...
