Dunkin' — Restaurant in Kettering

I did the drive thru. I ordered 2 drinks. The first one, a medium iced vanilla latte with 2 pumps of vanilla instead of 3 and made Decaf. The second drink a medium iced carmel craze latte Decaf. Not too complicated right? WRONG. The guy at the front window thought I only had 1 drink. He thought I ordered an iced carmel craze latte with 2 pumps of vanilla in it. I said no and told him what I wanted. Then he gets all confused and tells other workers. And then hands me a drink that still says iced carmel craze latte with 2 pumps of vanilla. And charged me for 2 of those. So now I'm paying extra because a signature latte costs more then a regular latte. I try talking to the guy at the window again, he's still confused. I told him look, I'll go park and come inside. I don't want the people behind me to wait longer then they should. He doesn't say anything, he just looks around. I go and park and come inside. Tell the cashier what's going on. It turns out she made the iced carmel craze decaf latte with 2 vanillas but she said it's actually just an iced carmel craze latte Decaf (no vanilla). I'm like well I didn't know that. The sticker says otherwise. And I'm still waiting on the second latte and I want my money back since I've been charged too much. She gives me a refund for 1 of the lattes. So I wait over on the side. The other worker is like what are you waiting on, I'm like an iced vanilla Decaf latte with 2 pumps instead of 3. She's like oh nobody told me and gets a little angry. She makes it and I thank her. She says nothing and keeps working. From this whole experience nobody apologizes. And I'm out the door. I'm pretty mad. This should not have been this confusing. Nobody knows what they're doing and they have bad communication and bad customer service. At least the lattes...

I gave this location 2 stars because the chances of getting a decent drink here is about a 4/10, that’s dissatisfactory but not as bad as it could be. This time however takes the cake.. we just left after ordering 2 lattes. One is so thick with espresso I could chew it, the other is terribly watery I doubt if there’s anything other than milk in it. We were also not given a receipt so even if we went to the store to mention anything we don’t have a leg to stand on.. too bad.

I guess next time we’ll make the drive to Woodman as many others have stated.

Edit: We gave this place one last shot. Truly out of good faith, seeing that quite some time had passed from my initial 2 star review, - and yes, I docked a star. My husband and I ordered 2 large Iced Brown Sugar Shaken Espressos, (an iced espresso drink is very little coffee, and a whole lot of milk, ice and sugar) and my black coffee loving husband winced at its bitterness. I asked for an extra bit of oatmilk for mine, which took about 5 minutes to get someone to help me on the counter in the first place. I understand the drive through is crazy, I understand accommodating door dash orders is crazy, I understand working in food service is crazy as a whole; I really do. But hire some new/additional staff, take ONE DAY close the store, train all staff (and managers), and get this store running to what it could, and should be.

Noise: N/A Drive Through Only Crowd: Very Crowded, off peak is not crowded at all Speed: Very fast, expect to say in drive through about 10 minutes with a large line Accessibility: Parking lot is a mad-house when at peak hours Service: Extremely good Value for money: Moderate Cost: High, but not as high as other coffee places. This is between McDonalds price and Starbucks price Quality/Consistency: Extremely consistent, medium quality.

Impression: This is your daily driver for coffee. If you want something fancy, go somewhere else. If you want a bargain coffee, go somewhere else. But if you need fast, consistent, accurate then this is the place for you. This location of Dunkin in superior to many other locations in the area.

Comments: This place is usually a mad house if you don’t go at off peak hours, however staff is extremely competent and fast. This is my go-to spot for coffee and an occasional breakfast sandwich. It gets the job done correctly almost 99%+ of the time.
