So, we went here, was told the pizza is roman style and is good. Decided to try it. It's worthy of the drive. The first thing the menu isn't large but very accommodating. Ordered the eggplant stack, it's a non breaded version, think more Sicilian style, it was really good, could see how this and a nice piece of fresh bread would make an awesome meal. Flavors were on point, and it did not disappoint us. Next wife ordered a sandwich, this too was amazing, everything was fresh, the bread was so light, so crunchy, so fresh, and took us back to Italy šŸ‡®šŸ‡¹. Layered perfectly with salty prosciutto ham, fresh mozzarella, fresh rocket, and a very nice portion, too. I ordered mushroom pizza, wow, nice portion, nice toppings, but the crust, oh man, that crust. I was so light, crunch, and perftly done with a.slight bit of charring that makes it taste so good. It's not burnt, not well done, just slightly charred. I could not stop eating it. The house olive oil is some of the best, and they sell it in-house. If you're near here. DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE. And if you want to really have a great time, ask for Ray, he was great, knew all the ingredients, was prompt, very nice and is a great waiter, he made our experience even better. Only 4 stars on the atmosphere because it's loud but so very worth it. Actually, I'm changing it to 5 stars cause this place is awesome. The waiter here is so knowledgeable about all the food and everything, we did try the Tavernier location and were disappointed in the pizza and eggplant. I don't know who the chef is at the Islamorada location, but he is the best.

Looks very native to Italy on the inside. Beautiful decor tables are made just like the ones in Italy with beautiful designs of lemons šŸ‹ and vines. Italian imported products for sale. Pizza dough fermentation of 96 hours, fior di latte and pomodorini colorati fresh basil. Cooked woodfire. I thought now that's italian! Not so much for the taste and thickness of the classic hand tossed. The menu is pretty vast. Presentation is very appealing to the eye but the taste is off. Server needs more knowledge of what they offer. I ordered a Margherita pizza classic hand tossed. Half a mushroom only if they were fresh. He said he would get back to me to let me know. Never let me know. I was served canned or packaged mushrooms. I didn't like the flavor so I pulled them off the pizza which was served with all mushrooms when I only requested half. The server saw it. Didn't ask if there was something wrong. So I told him they are not fresh. He said...are you sure? As if I didn't know what I was talking about. Well, I've been in the business all my life. I KNOW! I was charged $5.00 extra for uneaten mushrooms. Not even the courtesy to take off the extra charge for something I did not ask for or eat. Over lunch bill was over $100 with tip!

We’re here visiting from out of town (shocker.) We have eaten out almost every night while here, mostly on a seafood kick, but tonight we wanted something different. Well needless to say I am overjoyed we decided to eat here tonight. This might have been one of the best Italian spots I’ve ever had the privilege of dining in. This place was over the top, from the warm welcome to the amazing service, to the absolutely phenomenal cuisine. Everything that was ordered was fantastic. I personally had the mussels to start and the Cacio e Pepe. The mussels were easily the best I’ve had and the pasta… oh the pasta! Creamy, cheesy, delectable, unctuous and peppery. Everything was incredibly fresh and piping hot. If you’re ever in the area visiting or if you live nearby, run, don’t walk to enjoy some of the most authentic and delicious Italian food around. And just to be clear we dined at the express location in Tavernier. Salute!

For a casual restaurant the atmosphere is very inviting, beautiful hand painted Italian style tables with bottles of olive oil and bags of pasta available for purchase. My husband and I just returned from Italy, so I was really looking to re-live the dream. We ordered the appetizer of eggplant parm which was absolutely delicious. It has no breading which is my favorite (sicilian style). The house made marinara it comes in is so good we didn't leave a drop, especially because the focaccia they serve it with is so light and fluffy yet with a crispy crust. It's perfect for scooping up the sauce. Dinner was a panini and a pizza. Both were delicious. The pizza is Roman style, and it truly did take me back to being in rome. It was so good we tried to go to the islamorada location the next night because we were told it was neopolitan style and we wanted to try it. The first thing when we walked in the smell of old seafood was really strong and the music was very loud. I was told their pizza wasn't neopolitan style and that it was more American style so we decided to leave and go to the key largo location which was where they do the neopolitan pizza. That location was packed with a 30 min wait. So back to the express location. Ray was our waiter again. He did excellent again. We had the eggplant again. It was excellent again. A different pizza and the pear and Almond pasta. Both excellent. We highly recommend this restaurant. It was...

This place can't get out of its own way. Tries to be something it isn't, and that's authentic Italian. We're here for 9 days and thought we would give this place a chance. When I saw the menu, I stayed against my better judgemental. First came in and was told to sit where we wanted. After sitting g where we wanted was moved to a 4 top because the 6 top is already reserved... my family and 4 other senior citizens only ones in the whole place. Ask if there is a kids menu available formy 10 year old and was mumbled at by the waiter and never offered a child's menu. We ordered water, per usual, and perused the menu. Everything is rudimentary dishes, and everything is an add on. I ordered the gnocchi colognes, and my wife and son ordered Alfredo. 10 year old didn't see anything because we weren't offered a menu for her. Tried to eat the gnocchi and it was bland. Found one half of a cherry tomato I. The whole dish and barely enough meat to feed an ant. Son left his plate because his wasn't seasoned. Wife and little girl split herss and neither ate half of their serving. We got yhr check and it was 74 bucks. We've eaten Italian in Atlanta, nashville, chattanooga, Dallas, sant Antonio, and Los Angeles. I've never been this disappointed in a meal. Only reason I'm posting this review is because I'm sitting g here getting madder by...
