Lucy's Mexican American Restaurant — Restaurant in Keyport

This is by far and away the best Mexican food I have had in the area. The food is fresh, tasty, and prepared well (except the french fries... see below). That is why this is still a 4 star review in spite of some areas for improvement:

Burritos for some reason come with french fries. As the french fries was the one thing that did not taste fresh, they stood out as the one disappointment of my meal. I wonder if they'd consider swapping chips & salsa for the fries, which really makes more sense with a burrito.

The vegetable burrito is apparently the same price as the beef & chicken. Generally the vegetable burritos are few dollars less.

They seemed to be a little busier than they expected today as I was told it would take 15-20 minutes and it took around 30 minutes. Not a big deal. I only point this out because I think they rushed a little. Mixed in with the french fries were a few small pieces of plastic wrap. Not enough that it was a turn off, but figured I'd mention in case they see the review so they can be more careful in the future.

I recently visited Lucy’s, and I have to say, it exceeded all expectations! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and friendliness. The staff made us feel right at home, providing excellent service throughout the meal.

The food? Absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried was packed with authentic Mexican flavors, and it was clear they use fresh, high-quality ingredients. From the perfectly seasoned enchiladas to the mouth-watering green chile, everything tasted like it was made with love.

I brought the kids for a family dinner and were completely blown away. The atmosphere was joyful, but the true star of the evening was the live music. The singer was pure magic—her voice was utterly perfect and she sang with such genuine heart and warmth that it felt like she was serenading just our table. She truly elevated the whole experience!
