Mikes subs does subs perfect. They make the most delicious crisp fresh mouthwatering subs and they are also a part of keyport history. Any local will tell you. Who lives in keyport and doesn't know old Gus, agnus, Paul, gus, and lil gus?

I originally grew up in the Keyport area… I worked at mikes subs when I was 16 years old. I would put the lettuce and Other stuff on… That was over 15 years ago…

Mike's subs has been around since 1960s... old Gus open the store originally with his wife Agnus..and his two sons, Paul and Gus helped out. Mikes subs was knocked down from hurricane Sandy they rebuilt the store all new what exactly the same pretty awesome... The only thing different now is they put a handicap ramp so that people all people can get inside… Paul and Gus now Runn the store and old gus still hangs around ...pretty cool

The reason why they are still in business is because they make the best subs ever… They use The best meat… They know how to slice it and the bread they use is out of this world perfect for a sub

So this place is not only landMark but it's also a must go destination while in Keyport… Greatest friendly service....

Clean location, great staff (they have shirts and hats, yay!) and delicious food. I guess I'm a heathen, because I ordered a meatball sub with two different cheeses and not much else. I keep forgetting that typical sub places don't really put much else on the sub unless you explicitly tell them to. Next time I might ask for some mayo or some other sauce on the sub.

The food is crazy fresh. The meatballs were falling apart as I devoured my food, and you could taste the texture. Beware, these subs are no joke and if you are someone that happens to suffer from TMJD, you may want to squish your sub a little bit or peel away a little of the bread.

This is not the franchised chain, but real deal! Top-quality meats and cheese is combined to make one helluva sub. Make sure to get it with "everything" - freshly cut tomatoes, lettuce, onions, a splash of oil & vinegar, and a sprinkle of salt and oregano. Their subs are truly giant! The whole-sized sub can easily feed 2-3 people. I got the ham, provolone, and capicola. Highly recommended!
