Where do you go for a sandwich and a drink on the way from home to an afternoon of sailboat racing out of the Kwyport Yacht Club. Right. You read the headline just like the folks who call you by name Right. It is on your nametag.
One more quick thing is to ask someone as you walk in deliberatel looking lost. Maam do you shop here all the time? Do you know if they have fresh made deli sandwiches? In the right back next to the deli. Thank you. Tonic water in the soda aisle and you are on the way out.
The premade roast beef and provolone on potato bread was fresh and a real treat for the first time this summer. As for the drink... it is gin and tonic season but since the quinine is a prescription, I go with liter that has zero sugar added. Bonus I get lime for the flavor and keep it at whole 20 calories in the liter. Double bonus it was all in just one ten minute stop! Just so you know the quinine kills all the viruse guys that can kill you thses days. Cheers
Just this... It is a guy shoping thing, you ask where can I get the two things I need as fast as possible with just one STOP & SHOP. Duh. Got to there in time to catch the launch ride with the race committee. Does ot get any better? Roll your eyes but we are able to do the in and out thing cause you got the kids and the long shopping list before... one more thing. Honey the grocerys are in the sun in the car and I need (would really like) you to bring them in please. Yep warrants a please. just do it. Smile.
Significant others you really are...
Read moreSo today I went into Stop n Shop for a few items. I noticed the gift card rack and remembered that my mother (who is disabled) asked me to pick a couple up. So I bought a couple gift cards totaling $200. My mom had forgotten to let me know that she ordered them online (her memory is not great due to her disease) and I went back in 8 minutes after purchasing them and asked if I could return them. I spoke with 3 people: 1st the customer service girl and she was fine, 2nd was the manager and he told me he was unable to return them and THEN I spoke with the Store Manager who then said the same thing.
I understand company policy BUT I also understand customer service (used to work in customer service at a grocery store) and the store manager showed not an OUNCE of sympathy for my situation. I understand that the mistake was my own, but just an ounce of sympathy would have been nice. Couldn’t even do some sort of store credit. NOTHING. Was holding back tears and he could care less. Never coming back into this...
Read moreI am usually a happy shopper when I go to this store. I have no problems finding what I’m looking for and everything is usually fresh. However, my last experience left me extremely disappointed! The white turnips which are cut from turnip greens were not fresh, wrinkled and drying up. They should have been removed! The bakery prices can’t get any higher!!! I purchased the apple turnovers which have increased in price. I think they used one apple for the batch. I am not exaggerating when I say that I had one to three pieces of apple in each of my turnovers. The flavor is excellent but they lack apples. Lastly each time that I have approached the females at the customer service desk, I found her/or them, to be lazy and unhelpful. They don’t even want to bother explaining an answer to a question, let alone resolve a problem!! So my complaint and request is that they put some apples in the turnovers and get better customer service representatives that act like they want to be there and...
