I lived in kilgore in 2020 when the store was new and i know covid had everyone worried with uncertainty for small businesses. I have since moved away and am happy to see that years later, the store that Fred and Vivian have worked so hard for is still in business! Only one employee had a face covering on the other one did not. Breathing all over the ice cream. The place was packed with people waiting for ice cream and no one had a mask on or 6ft apart. I got a Prom Queen that was supposed to be a Sunday. It was 2 scoops of strawberry Ice cream in a paper cup. My husband got a banana split. His came with 1 vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate Scoops NO strawberry, chocolate or pineapple syrup. He had to ask for nuts, for almost $7 that split looked Really bad. DQ MAKES BEETER...

I went in Kilgore Mercantile and Music for a gift for my 20 yo male cousin. I ended up with a gift for him and my 6 yo nephew. I saw items I will go back and purchase for Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers. To be perfectly frank, this will be my go to gift shop from now on. They will let you try most of the toys!
