Mad Wingz — Restaurant in Killeen

Today was my 1st time trying the food here. I was on my way to pluckers when I saw this place a decided to give it a try (I say that to say I was craving wings). I ordered the mango habanero bone in. I will give a respectful and honest review as I am a supporter of small businesses especially in Killeen.

The atmosphere... was calm.. a Friday early afternoon.. maybe 6-8 people there. Clean with 2 beautiful children taking the order (so i figured this a family business). There was nothing that stood out as "amazing service" but expected and friendly- nothing major to report and nothing bad.

The price- it was less then what i would have paid for wings at pluckers- but about an average price for wings in the area and the times. Loved that.

The fries- were the first thing I ate and they were actually really good. I dont like super salty fries but they tasted fresh and seasoned but not too much. I actually really liked them.

The wings- ok.. so.. I did not like the wings. They were big.. very nice size.. however.. I tasted nothing. It was like an unseasoned wing with mediocre sauce. I say that to say.. if this establishment takes honest reviews in mind.. i would totally be willing to try them again in a month or so (i believe everyone deserves second chances 😊). The bland taste was so prevalent that I ended up creating a seasoned sauce to dip them in because I hate wasting money. But they were juicy- well cooked..but i would have preferred a more seasoned wing. And again.. I dont like overly salty food due to health reasons so the fact I thought there was no seasoning says alot. But it could have just been my batch.. it could have been multiple reasons or they could just put some extra seasoning on them ..

The sauce- was ok..again I had Mango Habanero- and not the best mango habanero ive ever had. And I eat A LOT of wings.. I get MAD points at Pluckers lol the sauce wasn't spicy enough. Or thick enough im not sure but there was just no WOW factor to anything with the wings- in my opinion they were not even mediocre.

• and not sure if they do but a point system it's definitely something to think about.. I know i go places more that have points to rack up so on days where I just dont have it and busy school and work days it really comes in clutch 🙌🏽**

Again I will definitely give this place another shot but I'd hope to taste a little more on the wings.

I also didn't taste anything else yet so I still have to try a few of their other food menu items to be able to give a more in depth review. My children and I love mozzarella sticks so I will bring my daughter (the true mozzarella sticks connoisseur 😅) to test them out.

I say everything honest and respectful 🙏🏽 and I look forward seeing small buisness wing spots having a real chance in this area especially bringing smaller children...

So today is my grandson birthday and he wanted to go out to eat and he wanted hot wings😋 So I looked up some places and I ran across this place. Mad Wings🤔 What is this a wing place we haven't gone to bet it's on😁 So when we got here there were people in line ordering the place is bright and very vibrant. The logo is too cute the chicken wing has a gold tooth lol I can't it's hilarious 😆 So we ordered 40 some wings🤯 The kids ordered Hot Honey Lemon Pepper ,hubby ordered Buffalo and I ordered half Honey BBQ and half Sweet Teriyaki we ordered a family fries and he threw in some fried ore cookies 🍪 It took about 45min we had a big order but Guy's everything was so good when it came out lol the kid's kept licking there fingers lol saying Titi this chicken is so Good 😋 My granddaughter said Nobody better mess with my chicken!! Lol OK, it's all yours🤣 So if you're looking for a new chicken place, give them a try they have plenty of flavors to choose from. Hands down🙌🙌🙌the best wings and customer service in town🙏🙏🙏💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥menu is very simple to pick from which is great nothing to difficult. Prices might be a little pricey to some but if you love goood food you’ll pay it😉😉😌😌We ordered and was gonna head home but them 90z rnb kuttz led me right to the tables to chow down!!! We got served when our food was ready!!! I forgot to get the cashiers name but he was hella koo!!!! I ordered a combo plate of the seasoned fries, 15piece bone in. 10 pieces in the buffalo parmesan and I did the 5pieces in honey bbq for my daughters to try. My husband ordered his 10piece combo of mango habanero and a dry rub flavor🤔🤔🤔with the onion rings!!!! the wings were so good I can’t even remember which flavor he picked. Everyone loves wings!!!! there options in flavors has a good variety!!! We moved here from Hawai’i !!! I found them because I was looking at places to try here in Killeen!!!
