Dave & Buster's Killeen — Restaurant in Killeen

This was our second time at this location. On Sunday August 24th my husband and I decided to go to this establishment. Both time we have went we just sat at the bar. Dave and buster SERIOUSLY needs to invest into more bartenders. We sat down and it took her a little bit to get to us. We asked for menus and our drinks. She got our drinks and never got us a menu. I watched as there was a few other people at the bar. Nothing crazy but the bartender was moving at a snails pace as if the customers were not important. She wasn’t aware of her surroundings when new people sat down. I ordered an appetizer the chicken cantina nachos and my husband ordered a ribeye. After about 10 min she came back and said so we are out of chicken for the nachos but we can do steak…I said will I be charged extra? She said just a little. I said well I shouldn’t have to pay extra because you are out of something. She goes to ask and never comes back. We assume all is well. My husband and I move seats at the bar to watch a different tv. After about 40min of sitting there I finally ask someone else who came to help with the cups like where my appetizer is. She’s like I’ll go check. I said also can my husband get another beer? It’s been almost an hour. She comes back and said oh ma’am your food wasn’t even put in because we are out of chips. I said out of chips? The bartender told me out of chicken…she said oh no we have chicken. So the manager at that point made chips and they brought out my food. However remember now we are creeping up on an hour and my husbands steak still isn’t out here. At this point my husband tells the bartender I’m not wanting my food we are going to go elsewhere. She gives us the check and the reasoning on the steak says “customer didn’t like.” No customer didn’t even get to try the food. It should have said something along the lines of customer waited over an hr and still didn’t have food. Now mind you it was a Sunday AND busy. Now why wouldn’t yall plan for that? They had plenty of people to run food but no food being produced. The first time wasn’t as bad but still only had one bartender. We gave them the benefit of the doubt as they just opened. Normally, I dont leave reviews. Iworked in food service 22yrs. I hated bad reviews. However, I Took my son out for an early birthday dinner. He chose D&B. We came in and put our phone Number 4 a table we go and play games. An hour goes by and we come back and ask what's going on with the table? They said that they would have to reset uset us for a table. Because we didn't come when we got a text. We didn't get a text. So we finallyget seated and the table that we sit at, is dirty. So we move to the table that's across From that. Tavarius comes and asks for our drinks and we order an appetizer. Some other tables get seated around us. Their food starts coming out. We sit patiently. Waiting for our app. Tavarius comes around and gets our dinner order. I asked about the queso we ordered and he says "I got you". 3 min later our food comes out. We never received our app. We Didn't get a refill or checked on. We asked for refills to go since we never got our refills. And he still never brought those. he said its an upcharge for ranch. And then didnt bring them out, we still had to ask for our ranch. When he comes back to the table, he just brings the ticket and sets it down. He walked around us the whole time like we wasn't there, but he waited when it was time for us to pay. Just Stood there, then had the audacity to tell me about a tip..Tuh!! The service that we got today was the worst in killeen, and I will not be back to dine. We will be back to spend the tickets that we have on our game cards. My son is 18 tomorrow. I just wanted to spend the last few hours of my son being a kid, having a good time. Tavarius really needs to learn how to serve. Idk what happened it started out good and then it flipped like we did something. I was a server for 15 years and that's not how you serve people. Even if you don't like them, you still treat them will respect. Customers are already spending their money, and if you want them to tip you, then you serve them how you would want to be served. I am very happy with the experence. A few bad points but not real bad. The noise level was very loud. So it is hard to understand people talking. Some of the food is spice, but very good. Just be careful if you do not like spicy food. You will spend some money here but you come here for the games.

Now for the good. Food was good. I am not much on spicy food but wow I loved the spicy food here. The fries are great, thin and seasoned very well. Food is good, better than I thought it would be. Lot of left overs so that is great. The salmon bowl was a bit too spicy for me so I swaped with him and had his margiata pizza, YUMMY. The fruit teas were great. My kids loved their food.

On the games, there is a lot here to play. My kids played as I watched. They had a blast. Their ages are from 10 to 17 and they all had fun. The games are loud and a lot of flashing lights. So if you have a young one that gets sensory overload easly this might not be a good place for them.

I have never been to a Dave & Buster's before but I enjoyed it a lot. Main thing is that my kids had a blast. Well worth the money to go here. I just wish they had a stop light at the road at the parking entrance. It would make it safer when crossing over the highway.

And for the super great.....Our server, Kaitlyn was super great. She took time to explain the details on the food and game card bundles. That saved us some money. One of my daughters was woundering what one of the sauces for the wings tasted like so Kaitlyn brought her a sample of the sauce for her to try.
