04/30 2022.....Today my husband and I ordered Kingsland Pasta and it was not good at all. We spent $87.00 for NOTHING. My husband ate the meat off the top and didn't like the noodles. I bought mine home because I didn't know what to do with it. I only good thing was the potato soup and the dip my husband ordered. FYI, if your waitress hasn't tasted the food please stop telling the customers the food is good. It's a while since we have been there and so it will be a long time before we come back AGAIN.
Different story ATTENTION VETERANS!!! PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AT OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE B/C THEY ARE NOT HONORING THE VETERANS AS THEY SHOULD. KDH SAID THEY WOULD GIVE AWAY A BLOOMING ONION AND NON-ALCOHOL BEV.....BUT SOMEWHERE DOWN THE LINE, IT BECAME A LIE. YOU ARE ONLY GETTING A 20% DISCOUNT. This is a message on my FB. Today one of the waiters told my husband and me, they can't honor any free meals because they cost them $25,000 last year. I wouldn't have known that info if it wasn't provided to us. My husband talks to the manager, and asked him "What you are saying right now is Outback doesn't care enough to honor a meal?" My husband also said, you have all these restaurants around you honoring a meal to the soldiers, and retirees and you are only offering 20% before taxes??? Soldiers have lost their lives and you can't offer one meal a year?? They act like they would have taken a big loss by honoring a free meal 🤦🏽♀️😥. My husband, nephew, family members, and friends have fought for this day, so, therefore I'm marking you off my list of places NOT to eat there.
4/14/2024. My husband wanted to try this place out today after I NEVER wanted to return. The waitress was very nice. Our food came out fast, but you guys could have kept that dry a** Steakhouse Mac&Chese. It was so dam dry and nasty with nothing on it. Never again will I ordered it. Idk who prepared it, but they have to...
Read moreSo no fault but of our own, we waited until 8 to go eat and were stuck with a 30 min wait to be seated. No problem, now it's time to feast... Wrong. With our time we had to plan what we wanted and immediately ordered an appetizer, the aussie cheese fries. Don't get me wrong, they were covered in a terrific amount of cheese, but we waited just shy of 30 minutes for it to show up after 30 minutes waiting to be seated. Because of how busy they were, I assume they were in a hurry cause the bacon was mostly just sprinkled in the corner. Ok next food please.
The entree came out a 6 ounce sirloin medium with coconut shrimp. The shrimp was a different prepared dish than I had tried before but not bad. The steak however is where it got a little wonky. Upon my first bite quickly shoved in my mouth, I realized there wasn't enough soda to quench the thirst I was unleashing. It was SOOOOO salty. It was barely tolerable sadly, especially since it is a steakhouse. Looking at how it was prepared, it was between medium rare and maybe even rare, which doesn't bother me but yet again, it's a steakhouse I figured it would be cooked to near perfection. My wife's steak was not salty and it was medium rare as she ordered.
We normally have dessert but tonight our discontent was high enough to not attempt another dish. The place was very clean along with the table and the server was more than attentive. When we told him about the steak, he was going to try to fix it but we were just letting him know to tell the cook to lay off the salt. He did a great job, just overall not a great experience unfortunately.
Although the experience wasn't great, I feel like it could be great on a different night so we will give it another try...
Read moreI eat here often at lunchtime and 99% of the time am satisfied. Friday after work I decided to use the curbside service. After paying $72 for 2 ribeye dinners I was messaged that my order was almost ready and for me to let them know when I arrived. I went straight away to the restaurant and parked in the curbside section and I messaged inside to let them know I was there. That was approximately 2:50pm. On my receipt it said my food would be ready at 3:00pm. 3 o'clock comes and goes....I remain sitting in my truck. I see workers coming outside and visiting other workers, I see workers outside smoking but I see no workers bringing me my food. Finally at 3:15 I got out walked up to the door I'd seen the staff coming in and out of and I could see it went right into a part of the back of house. I turned around and about 3:20 I called into the restaurant and a gal said let me check on it and hung up on me. About 3 minutes later a girl comes out with my order and gives it to me. I explained what had happened and the young woman said "wow, that's weird" I could feel my bag was cold so immediately I was ticked off as I had another 25 miles to drive home. I served the meal to my husband and myself and it was all STONE COLD and to boot both steaks were 60% fat. They were the worst steaks I'd ever had at a steak place. $72 for a Friday date night where we were both upset over, I was still hungry because I couldn't eat it. My Daddy taught me a long time ago the phrase ONE AND DONE. I tried curbside once and I am DONE. I don't think I will ever go to the Killeen, Texas Outback ever again. TIME IS MONEY and I wasted...
