I'm a passing truck driver that decided to splurge a bit. I understand its Friday evening and they are a bit busy but what comes next is absolutely unacceptable. Put an order over the phone. I specifically asked for Horchata. Person that took my order specifically checked if they have it. Get there and pay for my food at 5:36pm. My food on the counter and Horchata nowhere to be found. Lady at the register proceeds to tell me that it will be few minutes before she can get someone to get my Hochata as she continues on checking guests out. These people had a pleasure of eating a WARM meal while I am standing there with my food getting cold. Finally a waitress comes up and hold the counter up while Im still standing there. Finally the register decides to tell her to get my drink. She comes back telling me there is no Horchata and if I want something else. I proceed to tell her I will take Jamaica instead. She catches an attitude and storms back to the back. Finally the manager shows up and long be hold, Horchata magically appears! Finally got to leave at 5:56pm. I stood there for 20 minutes just for a drink?! I had to microwave my food When I got back to the truck my food was stone cold and my cheese dip comletely separated from getting cold. It would have been a 1 star if the manager would not rectify the...
Read moreWe were a party of three kids and three adults, the youngest two are 3yo and half feral (I swear!) We don't usually dine out with our wee gremlins, but we had taken a day trip a few towns over, and we wanted to give the kids a bit longer out of the vehicle before heading home. We were greeted and given the option of booth or table, we took the booth with the server warmly greeting us before we could all sit down. She was delightful, sweet, and very attentive. She had paid enough attention to catch my husband, on his way back from the restroom, and ask what he'd like to drink. She had a ton of patience to handle my brain flat-lining (over my kids, of course), and kindly asked a few follow-up questions to be certain she had the order correct. We never felt rushed, ignored, or like our kids were a nuisance, well other than them simply annoying me lol. The food was great, zero complaints, 10/10. The food for the toddlers was cooled before being set on the table, and they brought it out quickly so my kids didn't have to wait to eat. The rest of the food was served hot and fresh, and we all enjoyed our various dishes. My husband and I will likely return when we find ourselves...
Read moreI'm usually not one to complain but my experience at El Toril today was awful. The host didn't ask if our toddler needed a booster chair so I had to get it myself. No big deal. The menus stank like dirty mildew dish rag water. Noticeably bad to the point I had to hold it away from my face to read it. Our server took our drink orders then food order and never checked on us again or brought any refills. 3 of 4 meals came out about 20 minutes after we ordered but mine did not. After another 20 minutes of waiting i had to flag my server down and ask him to check on my food. The kids quesadilla tasted gross. You could tell it was cooked on a dirty grill. The chimichanga was very small. The nachos were good though. At this point we were ready to leave. When my food came I asked for to go boxes. I packed the 3 meals that came first. I took a bite of my enchiladas rancheros before putting it in a box and it was dry and chewy. I went to scrape it into the box and the tortillas were burnt and stuck to the plate. I just set it down and left it. I know Sundays are rough sometimes but it wasn't very busy and there was no wait to be seated.
We will...
