We have been coming to Pier 28 for years. It use to be one of our favorite stops while on the water. After our experience Sunday however, we aren’t sure we will be back. I’m not sure if it’s under new management or ownership but everything was off.
greeted by the hostess we were asked “inside or outside” for seating. we asked to sit outside. We were told there was indoor seating available but it would be a wait for the outdoor table. We said waiting was fine and she goes “great, follow me!” And lead us inside. After getting our drinks we saw several outdoor tables open up and asked to move outside like we originally wanted. Our server said she can’t take outside tables and since we were already on her tab we couldn’t move. Okay, no big deal. We attempted to place our order. My son wanted to add something more than just cheese to his pizza since the only topping options are cheese or pepperoni for kids. We offered to pay any differences or for whatever we needed to for him to have something added on his pizza. Not allowed. Can we get the full meat pizza minus the pepperoni? Not allowed. Okay, can I get a side of pickles with our veggie board? Nope, not allowed.
We have asked for 1 topping to be removed from our pizzas before with no issue, we were told no switching items allowed but removing was fine. Last year we had 2 servers that knew us so well they brought my side of pickles with our drinks.
When paying $12-15+ per person, and not being able to actually enjoy your food, it doesn’t really make you feel wanted in that restaurant. It’s really unfortunate because there are other restaurants on the lake who are...
Read moreDon’t do to go orders here unless you want to be treated like scum of the earth. We went here yesterday 6/29/25 around 5pm We ordered a few pizzas to go and since the place was near empty and a bad storm was coming in we wanted to sit and eat at a table instead of our boat. There was no line and plenty of seating The manager told us to go orders were not allowed to eat there but that she would let us as long as we ate quickly and didn’t make a mess and if someone comes and wants our table we have to leave. I understand how busy this place can get and that this rule in place for a good reason. We eat there often. But to be told we could stay as long as we ate quickly and didn’t make a mess was the worst thing the manager could have said to me. I am not a 2 year old. We just left instead because I felt really embarrassed and unwanted there. She was not friendly more annoyed with us than anything. This manager really needs training on customer service. We are paying customers just like anyone who would walk up and ask for a table. We would have left money on the table as a tip. This place was near empty and probably wasn’t going to be since a bad storm struck as soon as we left. Which of course we were stuck in. I will not return to this...
Read moreA great addition to dinning options on Table Rock Lake. You don’t have to hike up a hill or take a shuttle, this is all floating but also right next to a parking lot. 6 of us stopped in for lunch on a busy Saturday in June. We were seated immediately and our 3 pizzas, appetizers and sandwiches came out fast and fresh. We loved the menu options and a 14” pizza would easily feed 2 +. The place is clean and huge, with a large deck, inside dining area and an army of friendly staff. There are many large boat slips to tie up to. The Caribbean Breeze pizza was the crowd favorite. We all agreed it was one of the best pizzas we’ve had. I ordered the Grouper Sandwich and it was just as good as my favorite sandwich I get on the Gulf Coast, and the fries are better! I can only imagine the cost of building and operating a brand new floating restaurant, but I noticed the owner walk over to the table next to ours and buy lunch for a large group of US Coast Guard Auxiliary members. Can’t wait...
