Harter House Supermarket — Local services in Kimberling City

First things first, the quality and most of the experience is strong. Ran into one frustrating issue. Couldn't order a meat tray in the pickup order, so we opted to just get meat from deli and assemble at home. Store called and said they could put it on a tray and charge us for a tray which should save us some money. Sounds great, but in our pickup order, $16 of ground beef wasn't in the order. It wasn't on the receipt, but the meat tray was somehow $16 more than the assorted meats. Called and went by store but CS lady was adament they were correct. Basically I either got sold on a $16 tray assembly after being told it would save us a little or (more likely) someone lumped the beef in with the price but it didn't make it to us. Frustrating. Didn't feel like arguing with the lady at the counter who wasn't very interested in listening, so saying my piece here. Will still probably use, but will be triple checking and not letting them bulk...

Besides shopping local and supporting our hometown, I can always trust I'll get the best experience from every store employee. It starts at the top...when I was there today I overheard the checkers getting drink orders together compliments of their manager. It's the little things like that which trickle down to us customers and brings us back again and again. I am not gonna lie, I have a thing for small chain grocers. When my buddy wouldn't stop talking about how much I would love this place, I was a little skeptical. I should have listened.
