The salad left a bit to be desired, not many veggies and drenched in a too cold, likely store bought Italian dressing. The lettuce appeared to be iceburg, not the best choice for a salad.
The portion however was perfect and the timing of the serving of salad then appetizer then main meal was spot on. Wait staff was very attentive and having them wear their football teams was a great touch for a Sunday.
Absolutely no presentation leading the diner to believe the food should speak for itself. Unfortunately, the food was not singing the praises of the chef. Underspiced and overcooked on many of the fried items. However, a perfect cook on the fried pickles: the saving grace.
The macaroni and cheese bites appear to be made with Kraft and quite small in comparison to similar dishes.
The pasta was absolutely swimming in a sauce that really didn't taste very good. I was so disappointed as I was expecting a good, homemade sauce.
Dessert came in the form of a lovely strawberry cake, so my taste buds left happy. Overall, I'd give this restaurant 2/5 stars and will not...
Read moreI have a hard time going negative on ANY place, and honestly just don't comment usually, but this place has gone so far down in the last 2 years I've wondered how long it can remain open "as-is". Overcharges are common, and only when I pointed out "there must be a mistake" over a $26 small 3-topping pizza, did they admit a mistake, but seriously... under what circumstances AT ALL does someone "accidentally" think a small pizza could be rung up at $26? It was the last straw. Several other measurable overcharges, added to a reduction in quality and quantity of ingredients, added to cold attitudes shared by an obviously apathetic staff has me never going back to a place I once loved and wanted to "work out", being so close to my home (and locally owned and ran to my understanding). They simply seem to have stopped caring what a customer thinks, and all but said so outright on my last call there. Any high ratings accumulated are likely aged over 2 years (from when they were...
Read moreI rarely go to Italian Garden since the pandemic. I have ordered a Greek pizza they’re supposed to have feta cheese on it. No feta cheese then when I called the lady talking about they only crumbled up one piece of cheese. I guess this is because of THE pandemic too she told me to bring the pizza back, and I will remake it, this is the second time this has happened . I’m just not gonna go anymore. The people in there are dry as a bone, all the sudden they are charging 3.3% on credit card payments. Steady trying to make money off of anything but won’t provide ingredients paid for. You know you didn’t put feta cheese on my pizza why should I have to drive all the way back across town to have a pizza remade. In the end I kept the pizza and I’m making this post Italian Garden do better. It’s like when you guys first open you were great now that you have customers you think you can service anything? There’s not one crumble of feta cheese. Make sure you check your orders...
