We came in expecting to enjoy our time, some drinks, food and watch some football. We sat at the bar, asked the bartender about drink specials, his response "I don't know" He didn't bother to help by asking a co worker or manager about any type of drink specials. Ordered the cheese dip which was not hot at all. Shortly after he asked for our orders, my friend ordered himself and his son dinner, I politely asked for more time to place my order which seemed to really anger our bartender/server for some odd reason. From that point forward it got worse and worse. He never proceeded to ask me for my order again and never once checked on us to make sure we were doing ok. It completely ruined our experience. Ended up just having the cold cheese dip, salsa, and some drinks due to the terrible, unfriendly service. We felt more uncomfortable the longer we stayed. OVERHEARD OUR BARTENDER TERRIBLY INSULTING US TO HIS CO WORKERS IN SPANISH, NOT ONCE BUT MULTIPLE TIMES!!!! So I ask for the check and was told to pay up front. I ended up getting 1 beer, 1 small cheese dip, and 2 jack and cokes. The cashier rang up those few items and said the total was 42.68!!! I told the man helping the cashier I got wayyy overcharged. He asked what I ordered, I told him and he said one second and went to go talk to the bartender, comes back and hands me the underserving 5 dollar tip I just left despite of all the insults and terrible service and says" here you're good now." At that point it was just a relief to leave that nightmare of a restaurant experience!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE WANTING TO HAVE A NICE...

We first discovered Los Tarascos on google maps while on a road trip.

With an overall 4.2 out of 5 rating, and our love for Mexican food, we decided to give Los Tarascos a shot.

I mean why not right? Los Tarascos was cheap, had healthy options, and sounded much better than eating more fried food on the road trip. Boy was I wrong...

Here's how it all went down:

Apperizer-Chips & Salsa: -Ill give them a pass on their chips as they came out pretty fresh.

-the salsa was mid at best. Nothing special, just slightly modified tomato sauce.

-water tasted like dirt, the lemon couldn't even save it

Maincourse- Chicken Fajitas and 3 Enchiladas:

-Chicken fajitas were unseasoned & came to the table with no sizzle. I was able to touch the cast iron as soon as it hit the table...

-Enchilada trio featured drained dry beef wrapped in Luke warm corn shells, made with canned aluminum-tasting sauce

Cherry on the cake: -No soap in women's bathroom -finishing the meal felt like punishment, the only reason we were able to is because we were THAT hungry

To Wrap it all Up: -Overall experience was MID in almost every way imaginable prices were cheap, but you def get what you pay for

Overall Rating: 2...

I've lived in King's Mountain for 15 years and starting dining there when it was Mi Pueblito. Though the name changed, the menu hasn't. First, the staff is always great. Even on the busiest nights we never wait very long for a table or an attentive server. They're always on the ball. Second, we have never had a bad meal there, and we go there at least 2-3 times a month for dinner. The food is always excellent! One of my favorites is "La Favorita". Last night (Aug 8, so still in pandemic) Los Tarascos was open at reduced capacity. I ordered my favorite again. Only this time it wasn't excellent. It was absolutely fantastic! I mean, really fantastic! I can only guess that with fewer patrons to cook for, the guys in the kitchen were allowed to take a little more time to perfect each meal. Not only did I tip my server, but I also tipped the cook! Third, the prices are great, considering the portions. Unless they make major changes or close down, we will continue to be return customers of Los Tarascos for as long as we live around here. And, you won't find cheaper prices on drinks/beer in any other restaurants, period. Los Tarascos deserves every one of...

Very nice people, we actually went there twice while in town to check out the casino. First night, we dined in, I had the ACP with steak... delicious! Well-seasoned, gooey with queso, over rice. Chicken wings, delicious! But now the not so good that kept this review from being a 5.... the 2nd night, we went for a drink, and ordered our food to go. I bypassed Taco Bells mexican pizza, in hopes of getting a more authentic one... big mistake! A tortilla was placed on top of the other tortilla with the toppings, not attached, so it kept coming off, eventually, I just removed it and ate the bottom one. If we had dined in, I would've sent it back. The chicken quesadilla looked like a large folded over chicken taco, not a flat, round filled quesadilla, like we're used to. Ending on a positive note, the frozen strawberry margarita and ocean blue was delicious and a nice size.

Food arrived warm on a very hot plate as it was sitting in the window for sometime at 3pm....Ordered chipolotle chicken strips and a mango margarita. Mango margaritas was very badly made even the food runner agreed. After that we asked for the chipotle sauce for her chicken. 10 minutes later... get this everyone. We were brought honey mustard??? I was told that I was wrong and that chipotle is actually honey mustard. I guess I’ve been wrong my entire life lol. When asked to speak to a manager we were informed that no manager was working. We will just go to Taco Bell across the street from now on. Better food and the servers aren’t rude. I’d give negative stars if that was an option.

Had the shrimp quesadilla and my buddy ate the burrito deluxe. We both thought the food was great. Free chips come with the meal, make sure you try them with the queso dip. Service was fast, attentive, and friendly. Stopped by and the way through and it didn't disappoint. Some of the reviews don't make any sense on this place. We only had a party of 2 and we're able to walk right in on a Sunday around 730pm.
