Mountaineer Tavern — Restaurant in Kings Mountain

There aren't many late night bars in the King's Mountain area. My boyfriend and I had left Catawba Two Kings casino and wanted to get drinks. I Googled "bars near me" and found Mountaineer Tavern. As a woman of color reading the reviews made me a little skeptical but my boyfriend (who is also black) urged me to try it out anyway and I'm so glad he did!! We had an incredible time! They have karaoke, pool, a great mix of music, and some of my favorite drinks! We met the owners and they couldn't have been more friendly! The Mountain Tavern is a great place to hang out with friends, play a game of pool, listen to awesome bands 😎 We attended a friends band playing here, the parking is the only issue we had. The bar is on the side of the gas station. Affordable drinks and wonderful staff. The Food truck, THE FRY STATION rolled in about 6pm and those men know how to cook, let me tell ya. Quality and Quantity. Got the Honeybee Cheesesteak and the BBQ chicken bacon ranch fries. Worth the $30 and definitely worth trying their food out.
