I came here with my two friends during my lunch and I handed my little vlogging camera to one of my friends who was there with me. When she was recording the beautiful atmosphere, there was one worker there who was so sweet, and she asked us where we were from. I told her from Hanford, because I personally was. We all complimented her on how beautiful and cute the store was. She didnât seem to have an issue with any of the recording that was going on. Then the lady at the counter did seem to get shaken and a bit hostile about why we were recording. I understand that this can be jarring, but I know that there are better ways to handle these types of things. The lady at the counter did apologize, however it still made my friends feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome, which is why they left. I personally didnât have much time left to choose a place to eat so I ordered there. My friend left a review stating how uncomfortable she was, which was only met with even more passive aggressive responses from the manager. This is really unfortunate because it goes to show the type of person that runs this place. It really is beautiful, but it seems some members of staff (more specifically the manager) has poor skills in managing the way they handle things like this at least from what Iâve seen. It felt as though the manager was putting the cashier in an extremely uncomfortable position too. Overall, I will say I admire the lady in the lobbyâs work and how sweet and comforting she was, I appreciate the sandwich, but the way this was handled from the manager was very poor and weird, and then the response to my friends review was just embarrassing. Like watching a but hurt teenager respond in essay format. I canât really recommend this place to anyone now, I used to love buying honey related items from here, but knowing how the owner thinks and responds is strange and uncomfortable. I wish those two ladies the best but I hope the manager learns to leave their bizarre behavior in the past, and handles situations like this in a way that doesnât make everyone uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the managers response to my friends review alone is why I had to leave 1 star, on top of what had already happened. Someone who responds like that is truly hopeless to try and converse with about an...
Read moreBeen here a few times because i'm from kingsburg and i've taken coworkers here with me on our lunch from surrounding cities multiple times that don't know about it because it's a cute shop (rated atmosphere a 3 because This encounter was extremely uncomfortable). Yesterday i took a couple coworkers & the lady (cook) was just starring at us crazy while i was looking at the menu and my friend that likes to do little "day in the life videos" had his pocket camera and let our other coworker play with it during lunch which she had with her as we walked in. The cook was looking at us like a crazy person and then asked what we were doing and who were we're as me and my other coworker were trying to order. All she had to do was ask for her to put it away please no recording. Or ask what it was for and NOT in such a hostile aggressive way that she did. Made us extremely uncomfortable and wierded out like they had something to hide. The nice lady sitting at the table that says she displays all the items was super sweet and i can tell was trying to not make things wierd because we were talking to her the entire time while she was promoting the store to us about different classes. I walked out with one of my coworkers (the one holding the camera). She was SUPER UNCOMFORTABLE and i will no longer be giving them my service or taking anyone else there and their prices aren't cheap for the quality of food!! Our coworker spent almost $30 there just on himself because we had no time to go...
Read moreMy spouse and I drove up to enjoy the Blossom Trail in Fresno County. On the map it highlighted Uptown Sprouts. The cafe was bustling, so we ordered two drinks. We were both surprised by the hefty $8+ per drink price tag, but thought weâd support a small business. My spouse ordered an iced coffee and I ordered a blended frappe. We noticed that there was only one employee working both the cash register and cooking the food. We checked out the cute interior and waited for our drinks. We soon realized that we were going to wait awhile, so we went for a walk around Kingsburg. We returned 20 minutes later and asked after our drinks. She said that there were several people ahead of us. We waited 45 minutes for two drinks. The young lady was very polite and I told her that she could use some help. How can one person cook and take orders? She finally made my drink and I noticed that the kitchen was a filthy disaster. She had no idea how to make a blended drink and after waiting well over 40 minutes, I had a watered down coffee over crushed ice. Itâs one of the worst drinks Iâve had in quite sometime. It was certainly a disappointing way to begin our day trip. I have read several other reviews and hope the owner will listen to honest critiques, make some changes, and have a thriving business for years to...
