Blended Pedaler Kingsport — Restaurant in Kingsport

One of my friends brought me a fruit cup from The Blended Pedaler recently, and I absolutely loved it! It was the Dubai Strawberry Cup. It was so fresh and flavorful!

Because I enjoyed it so much, I decided to get something for my husband (and another one for myself) today. But when I got home, excited to dig in, I opened the lid and was immediately disappointed to find long hairs mixed in with the fruit cup.

I called the store to report the issue. I didn’t catch the name of the person who answered, but I explained that I had just been there and found multiple hairs in my cup. The woman on the phone told me that what I was seeing were “wheat strands.” I responded that I definitely know the difference between wheat strands and hair. She then put me on hold, and when she returned, she told me I could bring the cup back in and they would make me a new one.

I went back and showed them the cup. Another staff member took a look and confirmed that it was, in fact, hair. They remade the fruit cup for me, and I appreciated that the employee who helped me this time was kind and professional.

Overall, I really hope this new business works out the kinks in their customer service. While I appreciated the resolution and the professionalism of the second employee, I did not appreciate the dismissive tone and initial denial when I called. Finding hair in food is unpleasant enough and being told it wasn’t hair...

I really really wanted to like this place. I checked the online menu before stopping by. I'm sensitive to caffeine and really wanted a decaf beverage that wasn't a "smoothie". Intrigued by the "refreshers", I figured I'd stop by. Immediately upon entering, the smell of bleachy dishwater almost knocks you down. It smelled bleachy and dirty at the same time.

The general atmosphere just wasn't super welcoming with loud rap music blaring. We were greeted within the first few minutes of being there, and I asked the employee about the refreshers because I didn't see them on the menu. She explained they didn't have the stuff to make them, but they do have a caffeinated one with dragon fruit.

We unfortunately left without making a purchase, and I highly doubt we'll be back to...

I come here all the time, but my experience today was really disappointing. When I walked into the smoothie shop, there was no one at the front. I waited at least 10 minutes before anyone even showed up. When an employee named Kelsey finally came out, she didn’t say hi or acknowledge me at all. She had a bad attitude and was really rude throughout the whole interaction. It felt like I was bothering her just by being there. All of the employees I have met before were very nice except the one I met today. I come here for a treat, not to be treated like an inconvenience. Definitely rethinking coming back if that’s the kind of service...
