Oh my gosh how can I express how much I love Kingsport Olive Garden. This Olive Garden has always been delicious but recently has brought back my Joy of visiting a restaurant. I love their create your own pasta menu. My favorite ( unchanging) is angel hair pasta , mushroom sauce and sautéed shrimp( well done) with Salad. I found this to be the most delicious and in my mind healthy for me 😊I have dropped pounds eating the most delicious salad, its so filling. And the staff oh my gosh the staff are outstanding, so happy and willing to wait on you. (Even my son 13y noticed, he described it as more cheerful.) They don’t rush you through ordering or simple things like putting how much cheese on your salad or decide to put the amount of cheese they feel you should have (as some of Johnson City Olive Garden does) this actually is a little thing but it is noticed😂. Saying “Kingsport” is a reason. I live in Johnson City and use to eat at the Olive Garden in JC almost every day for lunch. Rarely met management. When I did it was a rude upper management when I mentioned their shrimp smelled and tasted spoiled. (Remember I ate lunch almost daily there and brought my kids for dinner almost 2 times weekly.) it was my favorite place, and felt. Most of the servers were awesome, but I noticed the cooks didn't season their mushroom sauce or have a mushroom flavor as Kingsport has. So I would get my meal and season it at my table. The last incident at Johnson City Olive Garden was of bad shrimp I mentioned it server was super kind said he would mention it. I said I didn't want money back or a card ( this is my favorite lunch I was planning on continuing to east there but wanted them to be aware of possible out dated food. Later, the same day, I came after ordering their take out in the evening. My order is well known the same everyday with “well done shrimp” This time I felt retaliation after the smell and the first nibble of a shrimp when i received my order. The shrimp seemed spoiled and soft. But they were cooked well done and highly seasoned, it felt like some one took their time trying to hide the very spoiled shrimp and the dish was even prettier than it ever has been but the smell of something old or spoiling could be smelled before opening the pasta tray I did not want to believe it was not what I thought I smelled. This 2nd time getting poor shrimp is what ended me eating at Johnson City Olive Garden. A Usual greeter and several servers were very kind and loved waiting our table, had become to know my family. One greeter treated me as if I should not come and have lunch there almost everyday. Of course you stop going I am so greatful for Kingsport I feel happy again. Recently I am having a major exam for my company so I have time to drive down yo Kingsport Olive Garden for lunch. The people and services are so amazing there. Sadness is near when I will no longer be able to have my favorite lunch everyday it will soon be to far and costly to travel daily. But Thank you Kingsport Olive Garden Staff and wonderful Cooks for making me feel welcomed each and every visit. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Photo Kingsport Olive Garden) oops to excited to take a bite before the photo and moved a mushroom. ( look at the beautiful brown...
Read moreAt Olive Garden in Kingsport Tennessee there is a lovely manager named Josh. Sarcasm, he is the most disrespectful unprofessional manager that I have ever spoken to in my entire life. I have worked in the food industry the majority of my life so I know how it operates. I had a complaint about my food because it came out without the scampi sauce for my shrimp scampi. By the time I had gotten enough sauce to enjoy my meal my meal was cold. I asked Josh if I could get my meal replaced. Josh agreed to replace my meal however he he did not have a positive attitude he was very negative and walk around as if he hated his job. I showed him the utmost respect until he got to my table being a smart alec. I was upset because I had already waited 20 minutes to get my meal back on my table so I could enjoy it. So when he brought out my fresh meal I let him know that the portion size was way smaller than the previous plate of food. He got smart and said "it's not like you're paying for any of this anyways." So when he said that I told him he was being a douche and needed to work on his skills social skills. After I had said this to him he continuously kept grating cheese upon my meal. Yet again being a smart alec and then he told me I was welcome to leave whenever I was ready. I have been to many restaurants and dealt with many managers but that is the most disrespectful man that I have ever talk to and he does not deserve the title of manager until he better develops his personal skills with the public. I will never ever ever eat at Olive Garden in Kingsport Tennessee for as long as he works there. He's lucky that I need my job because I have never been disrespected like that so much in a restaurant. But I just got a call back today is Sunday the 16th from the general manager and she made everything...
Read moreI used to love going to Olive Garden. Just a special occasion kind of restaurant because of the higher than average price, but the quality of food was decent enough that the price in my opinion was justified. However, the quality in the past few times i went has declined dramatically, to the point where i will probably not go anymore. In this last visit my wife and i went and i got the stuffed shells with shrimp and the minestrone. The shells were ok, however the minestrone tasted like they poured a bunch of cooking wine in it. My wife ordered the chicken fettuccine alfredo and the salad. The alfredo pasta had no taste, and then the salad's dressing tasted like bottled ranch. Finally we ordered the tiramisu, and it was frozen. The one thing that was still good as usual was the castello del poggio white wine, however, they served it at room temperature, where i would have preferred it a bit more chilled. I am not sure if they changed management, but they are no longer good in my opinion. I hope they realize it and quickly fix it. Edit: I really did not like the evening i went before i wrote the previous review. I gave the restaurant 2 stars for the not so good food. However i decided to give the restaurant another chance, and went back recently. I have to say that the food was much better. This time the tiramisu was not frozen and the salad dressing did not taste like bottled ranch. I will change it to 4 stars. I hope to never have the experience i had the...
