My boyfriend is a avid sports card collector and also in making Gundam models which is a model set you build paint like a model car except different as he puts it lol but he had told me that every time he walks into hobby lobby that the moment this lady he thinks is some type of management or supervy spots him she immediately gets on the intercom loudspeaker system and requests a security check in the area he is in if he is out of her sight quickly he said she calls for a storewide one my boyfriend is not a thief has never stolen anything from them and never will All that we could think that would have inspired her to do this is he does manual labor so therefore he comes in with dirty working man type clothes on I didn't really believe him until I went in there with him and sure enough the moment she saw him and she is very recognizable a large woman with a cheap looking Tammy Faye wig still after the first time I thought it's just a coincidence he's just imagining it sure enough the second time I went in there with him once again she did it so I went up and ask her why do you call for a security check in the area we are in every time we come here she looked at me and smirked and laughed and said I don't know what you're talking about I think you were imagining things young lady oh my god my blood pressure went through the roof that was very unprofessional I thought hobby lobby was supposed to be a Christian organization and that very blatantly was a lie and very unprofessional don't know who this woman is but she has made me angry enough to go on this long rant so if you don't like being judged for no reason Don't go to hobby lobby...
Read moreI've stopped at Hobby Lobby for many years. HL WAS one of my favorite stores. I recently moved and don't have a HL near me anymore SO I did a online order AND one of two of my items (shelves) had arrived broken. Broken as in it was made defective, the staples wasn't actually holding the wood together and was on the outside of wood instead of actually being in the wood to hold it together.
I took it to the nearest HL to me in Kingsport, TN- 45 minutes away from me AND they tell me I CAN NOT RETURN IT BECAUSE IT IS BROKEN. THEY DO NOT HAVE ROOM TO STORE BROKEN STUFF AT THEIR STORE (SO I CAN ONLY ASSUME THEY SELL A LOT OF BROKEN STUFF IF IT'S FEELING UP THEIR STORE LIKE THAT). SHE ALSO STATED, THEY CHECK THEIR STUFF VERY WELL FOR DAMAGE BEFORE BEING SOLD... NOT SURE WHY THAT WAS NEEDED TO BE SAID but I certainly didn't have anything to do with it being defective....
So I just asked to return the unbroken one then, she did. I planned to find another HB and try to return the broken one their because this just didn't seem right, they won't take back their broken merchandise. I HAVE NEVER HEARD THIS FROM ANY STORE BEFORE
BUT this lady took my receipt AND wrote - DO NOT ALLOW RETURNS - BROKEN AND CERICELED IT ALL BIG. Why was that needed? She was Clearly just being a B to me. I paid $40+ for this broken/garbage shelf.
If this is correct and HL stopped taking back their broken merchandise - I WILL NEVER EVER SHOP...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of being helped by a cashier Juliett who truly went above and beyond, even in the face of a difficult situation with a customer named Julie Hall . The customer ahead of me was rude and demanding, constantly raising their voice and making unreasonable complaints. Despite the unpleasant behavior, the cashier remained calm, professional, and unfailingly polite throughout the entire interaction. She also maintained a friendly demeanor, keeping the mood positive despite the tense atmosphere. It's clear that this cashier has incredible patience and a great attitude, handling the stressful encounter with grace and making sure everyone else in line was taken care of promptly. Also there was 2-3 cashiers at the store on a holiday week which doesn’t help ! Such excellent customer service deserves to be recognized. It’s a testament to their professionalism and kindness that, even in difficult situations, they make sure the experience is as smooth as possible for everyone involved. Thank you for being an outstanding example of what great service looks like! I hate when customer like Julie Hall make it there goal to put workers down, I went into google and noticed Julie Hall has a reputation of visiting stores, restaurants and other businesses and rate them 1 star. It’s sad and pathetic! Hopefully God shines some sense...
