Josie’s Frozen Custard & Italian Ice — Restaurant in Kingston

We go there every so often and it's not far from home. I had numerous sundaes and other things like the banana split even though they over flow it but still it was ok. I guess we have to be a slob every once in a while. I tried something different last week. It was the strawberry shortcake and was really amazing. I got my boyfriend a chocolate milkshake in the jar but that turned out good for him cause he couldn't drink out of a straw because he had a tooth pulled out. But overall we were happy with it cause it's not far from home. Dairy queen and curly creme is farther from here. The prices are reasonable and alot of great choices. They have social distancing but I also heard there is no social distancing at curly creme but not sure of the other one. I would recommend anybody to go there. Ice cream is amazing! But they get two stars because of this situation..... I ordered a cone for my daughter of cotton candy hard ice cream. I asked for a very small scoop and a bowl on the side. They handed me a cone with a humongous scoop of ice cream , which normally would be great . Well the second she touched it with her tongue it fell right off. I got back in line for 15 minutes and explained what happened and she charged me for another scoop. Then when handing me the replacement I payed for she told me “I’m not surprised that happened. The cotton candy is really soft tonight “ I have never ever had anyone charge me to replace a child’s dropped cone !! I would have been just fine paying for another had it...

I have been going to Josies for several years now. It has become my way to tell the official change of season. When Josies opens up, it is officially Spring. When it closes down for the year, it is officially Winter. Josies has the best water ice and ice cream treats in all of N. E. P. A. hands down. They offer a clean, outside covered area to enjoy your selection. I have not met so much as one employee in all the years I have been going there that was anything less than, kind, professional, courteous and helpful. If you are looking for a place to go to bring back childhood memories, or somewhere fun to take your kid's or Grandkids. Definitely take a trip to Josies. You will...
