I wouldn’t recommend getting your screen fixed here. I HAD an Iphone13 in prestine condition until the screen cracked. I wanted to be cheap and not have to ship my phone to apple, so I came here. My screen was replaced and a month later..the led screen detached from the phone somehow. I hadn’t dropped the phone and the phone wasn’t cracked. Took it back to idropped and they replaced the screen again. Thinking nothing of it, I also took my daughter to get her screen fixed, since she has an older phone and I figured she didn’t need a top notch screen replacement. I have had nothing but trouble since. Myself and my daughters phones are now blinking, dimming by themselves and lagging severely. I contacted idropped and they offered to replace the screen yet again. But unfortunately I don’t want my screen replaced here. It’s only gonna have the same issues over and over. So I opted to call apple. Apple informed me that since my phone was worked on by a third party, they will no longer fix it. SO BEWARE! IF YOU USE IDROPPED OR ANY THIRD PARTY, APPLE WILL NOT WORK ON YOUR PHONE AT ALL. However, apple did refer me to BestBuy and stated that Best Buy is the only company that has access to legitimate apple parts. Boy was that good to know. Although it’s the same price as apple, $279, it’s worth the extra money to make sure that the screen is not a knock off screen and that your phone is fixed properly. I have an appointment with Best Buy today to get my screen fixed the right way. Don’t go here unless you absolutely have to.
UPDATE: How dare you come under my post and lie. There was nothing wrong with my brand new iphone. I take great care of my devices. There was no water or any damage wrong with my phone. Your screens are knock off screens and they suck. Just admit it. And I'm going to let everyone know. As the technician stated at Best Buy, the glue that most of you knock off places use doesn't compare to the glue that apple and best buy uses. Thats why alot of the phones are susceptible to moisture because there is room for moisture to get in. Stop...
Read moreMy friend unknowingly pushed his iPhone 6s into a pool! It was submerged maybe 10 mins till he realized it. He pulled it out , it was draining water from everywhere. He put it into rice as he heard. He spoke to me some hours later ( after the idropped in Edwardsville was closed) but I told him it would be his only chance to save the phone if there was any at all left. I then went to the website to be sure about the hours and it said send us a message now so I did and did not expect an answer, within moments I was doing a chat with someone that was telling us what to do and what the odds were and when we could bring the phone in. We brought it in, they called us back after they had spent time on it and told us it probably was not salvageable, but the most important thing is the fact that they got back to us right away right after they became aware of the problem, and then also got back to us right away with the prognosis so we could prepare to get another phone or whatever we needed to do. These people Will work on your phone and give you this attention and advice for no money at all, they say if we cannot fix it then we will not charge you. that just doesn’t happen in this day and age, everybody wants to be paid for their time whether it turns out good or bad - this place is the place to go when you have a problem with your phone because they’re upfront, honest, and give the effort!! I have used them in the past and that is the reason I urged my friend to go to them this time and once again they did their utmost and best to save that device. Most importantly when they could not save it they also were very prompt with the reason why and what to do and again it cost nothing!!! I will always return there for batteries for any type of service not just the catastrophic event. thank you I dropped of Edwardsville for...
Read moreHorrible experience with a pale, young man who would rather be anywhere else but at work. Flat affect, poor social skills. I came in at 6pm to fix a broken screen and he kept trying to tell me that due to a "patent war" cell phone companies are having, it would cost me $200. Or I can upgrade. Ha. Anything to make money, right? Cause you definitely weren't trying to help a consumer when I clearly told you I cant be stranded in the forest at work tomorrow with no GPS, makes for a dangerous situation. I offered to give him an entire cell phone and still not even a $5 dollar discount. This business now lost out on two broken phones, as I will never come here again and this review will now let others know to avoid and why. "Have a nice day", sarcastically the same way you said it to me when I left.
Edit: after the "owners response" I have 2 things to say. One, that's a mighty response defending something that cant be defended except to say "that's how we do business here". I agree, everyone should know how you do business so they can avoid. And two, if you reviewed the audio and video, please tell everyone how your worker quoted the part at $130 dollars and you wanted $200. That's a $70 markup for a half hr worth of work. Last I checked minimum wage is around $8 in PA, what's the rest for? If you want to make that much an hour, get a degree. This is cell phone repair not brain...
