Pierce Street Deli — Restaurant in Kingston

First time at Pierce Street Deli because I was at imagery next door. Heard lots of great things so I thought I'd try it. Well, I'm disabled and also have a broken leg and they only have one handicap parking and all the other spaces were taken at 1130 am so I had to park on the street. First demerit. Then they don't have prices on their board as you walk in so I thought how much could a salad with grilled chicken be. Also got a Gatorade and it came to 12 something. Really. So I sat down waiting for it and it came quickly but the grilled chicken was ice cold and not very tasty and the greens were ok but overall not very tasty. So I ate half and had used up all the dressing already and asked for a container and more dressing and I was told that I would be charged for the extra dressing. Really I said. Yeah she replied everything is going up. So I said don't bother. So I'm telling you...don't bother. It's not what its cracked up to be and there are a lot of other places to get a great salad like the Main Bean in Luzerne or even Gerritys salad bar. So don't listen to the hype about this place and take your business...

I called when they opened last Friday in order to get a tray of wraps delivered for lunchtime. I was calling from out of state because the tray was being sent to my family who just lost a son/brother. The woman on the phone was very nice and took the order with care and compassion, something that I needed at that moment. Usually people rush you off the phone when taking orders, but she answered all of my questions about which platter would be appropriate, etc... She even texted me to make sure about the address and to let me know when they were delivered (delivered by 10:30am!). I had a wrap at a family gathering a couple days later, and it was still really good. It was full of meat and had cole slaw in it as well. I highly recommend this deli, great...

DO NOT EAT HERE!! The service was awful. I waited almost 30 min for my order. When I finally got it 2 out of 4 orders were wrong. No one apologized for our wait or their mistake Instead we were given excuses after excuses as to why it was taking so long. When I finally got upset they treated me like I was being irrational. Still no apologies. The manager finally shows up when I ask for a refund only to be just as rude and only apologized in a sarcastic manner. It then took another 5 min to get my refund because no one in their staff knew how, including the manager. The staff is rude The service times are horrible The orders were wrong And a simple task like a refund is difficult. People do yourself a favor and...
