Nesbitt Park is a hidden gem along the Susquehanna River. Great for walking, biking, or just relaxing with a view. The trails are well maintained, there's plenty of open space, and it's usually peaceful and not overcrowded. Perfect for a picnic or just to take a breather from the city. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area!

Great nature views hidden between Wilkes Barre and Kingston. A quite oasis. There's a boat launch, parking for cars and boat/trailers. Plenty of space to walk, benches to sit. Access to the walking trail on the river and Kirby Park.

Boat launch, disc golf, hiking and parking are your options along this pretty stretch of riverside park and levee. I had full bars of Verizon 4G LTE Roaming.

Part of Kirby Park and the dike system. Park has boat launch into the Susquehanna, and a long flat section with large old trees. Great views of the Courthouse and Market Street Bridge. Frisbee Golf as well.

Admittedly, the place is a cruising spot as well, but that is limited to the entrance area it seems. Plus the people are harmless; and it seems like they stay in their cars or take a walk on the trail up river.

Have been told the trail is a very nice one, will need to check it out. Walk from here until the one soft 'end' of the dike near the Cross Valley. A short 3 block walk through Forty Fort will reconnect you to the dike trail. ...or if you went the opposite direction you will take the dike downriver through Kirby Park and into Edwardsville.

Entire dike trail is great for walk,...

The Trees, oh my, the Trees. All different types growing on a well manicured lawn though most notably the massive Sycamores. Their size approaches the California Sequoia. It is so majestic to walk beneath them in the grass and gaze up at them. Then take in the scenic Susquehanna River as you stroll and then bench sit for a while before returning under those massive trees. They must be growing there for hundreds of years. ...
