Market Street Burgers is one of those restaurants that focus only on a few items yet do it perfectly.

We arrived on a Friday night around 7 p.m. There was plenty of seating available. We were warmly greeted at the counter by a pleasant young woman who answered any questions regarding the menu.

I ordered the Hot Mess, an 8 ounce burger, with a split beef hot dog, bacon, fries, onion rings, Mac and cheese, Cooper cheese, and special sauce on a pretzel roll. If you skied off the side of a mountain fleeing an avalanche, only to fall into a swamp filled with starving alligators, then be rescued by aliens who take you back in time at warp speed and drop you off on a ship during a viking war, it wouldn't be as adventurous as this sandwich! I washed it down with a freshly made caramel milk shake with whipped cream.

Also delicious was the Honey Chipotle BBQ burger, which consisted of an 8 ounce burger with bacon, cheddar cheese, onion rings, and a honey chipotle BBQ sauce.

I also ordered a cup of chili, which was very flavorful and had just enough heat. The chili was a perfect accompaniment to the large fry we ordered, which came in a box.

Of course, we couldn't finish all of food (with the exception of the Hot Mess!), and took the rest home with us.

Although the restaurant itself wasn't crowded, there were plenty of customers coming in for takeout.

All in all, this was a fun, enjoyable meal with a great staff. If you want a great, tasty burger, then Market Street Burgers is the place to go. In addition, the establishment also serves a variety of fries which could be a meal in itself, including the Filly Philly Fryz, the Nashville Hot Chicken Fryz, and the Surf N Turf Fryz, among...

Driving through Wilkes-Barre on a road trip, we didn’t think too much when we stopped in here, but we are SO HAPPY we did! What an awesome place! Market Street Burgers is really doing something incredible! It’s a really classic-looking counter-serve burger joint, but the burgers, toppings, fries and shakes are anything but the ordinary! Do you want Nashville hot chicken fries? Or the most massive double bacon cheeseburger (16 oz meat!!) on a pretzel bun with caramelized onion, jalapeño, lettuce, tomato, pickles, fried egg, bacon jam, garlic aioli, and a billion other toppings?! How about a super unique milkshake or float you can’t get anywhere else? All of that is possible here! From the loaded fries to the hot dogs to the customizable built-it-yourself burgers and sandwiches, this place really hits the spot. They have THE MOST MASSIVE burgers ever - come here when you are hungry, or else you could almost share a burger with someone else!! They have vegetarian and gluten-free options as well. I can’t wait to...

I had regular fries, a bacon cheeseburger with an egg, and tried the chicken sandwich. The fries were good. I like mine a little crispier, but these seem pretty standard for fresh cut fries. The chicken sandwich was a little tough and dense, could have used a little tenderizing. It was massive, though, great for the price.

I got the cheeseburger with cheddar, lettuce, tomato, and an egg. It was really good, but just a fraction too over seasoned. Which is a shame because the meat had a spectacular char and crisp on the edges while still being juicy and tender inside. The egg was perfectly fried and the cheese tasted incredible (and I'm not much of a cheese person). I would bet when I have them again the seasoning might not be an issue, but as for this experience it was just a touch too much.

I highly recommend coming here, especially if you're looking for something like 5 Guys with a new spin on...

Hands down the Best and the Freshest cow burger and real (fresh) potato french fries in the Wyoming Valley! Made how you want it, how you like it and with everything and anything you could possibly want on it. The choices alone take five minutes to decide on for first timers. The staff is friendly, helpful and always smiling. There are tables inside and also out on the shaded patio with a nice view of the green hills and pond of Kirby Park (through the fence lol) They also have pickup or you can do one of the delivery apps. I’ve done all 3, word of warning-prices on items are higher with the apps but worth it in a pinch for these burgers.
