Italiano's — Restaurant in Kingwood

I went here during face mask era for a nice special day dinner and I haven’t been since. I was treated very poorly by staff and my whole family was embarrassed and given a horrible experience. So bad that I feel the need to write this for anyone it might help even after all that time. (My last review must’ve been deleted by them or is on yelp).

When we arrived, we were sat down in a booth in the back right side of the restaurant. We ordered food drinks and appetizers and as we were already eating our appetizers, the same waiter that took our order interrupted us and told us we had to move. She didn’t even ask us if it was okay, she just said she needed us to Move because of the people next to us not wanting so sit next to us. She came up to us and said the people next to us complained about how close we were to them and wanted us to move. At first we didn’t think much of it, we weren’t being obnoxious, or even a little bit loud. So we just assumed they wanted “6 feet of distance” to be safe. We were having a very civil and nice dinner up until then. So I said sure even though I thought the way the waitress asked us to Move was unprofessional. The issue arises here- 1-If the table next to us were so uncomfortable why didn’t they get moved? Specially if we already had food and drinks. (They were an old couple that were clearly annoyed we were speaking Spanish next to them but I didn’t really connect the dots until after the whole incident) 2- this waitress moves us over to the very last d*mn table right next to the bathrooms IN FRONT of everyone. Oh my god I felt like everyone was looking at us, the only Mexican family, being moved to the corner next to the bathrooms. (LITERALLY 1 feet away from them) and next to the kitchen walkway. We were so uncomfortable at that point but we did the best to enjoy our meal. We felt singled out 3- IT DOESNT END THERE- seriously 5 minutes pass by after being moved, and the SAME waitress that just made us move, sit a white couple RIGHT WHERE WE WERE JUST SITTING. Like what the heck?!? There was still tables open, I thought the people didn’t want anyone next to them?! That’s when I knew it was racially motivated. Because I didn’t hear any issues directed towards anyone else besides us. And the couple that took our spot was being more loud than us. (We really keep to ourselves and never act out or yell in restaurants)

I spent way too much money on that dinner that day. We should have honestly walked away or demanded a refund. But I had my sweet mother and siblings with me, that I didn’t want to make them feel worse than they already did.

WARNING ⚠️ THIS PLACE IS CRAP!!! When we were there the a/c was out,our waitress explained that it had been like that all day,I wanted to leave but my friend said that the other Italianos in Atascocita was really good,but I wanted to give the Kingwood one a chance. I understand things happen, but for it to go on like that all day is just poor management, they should have immediately had someone working on it,the kitchen is an open kitchen so the heat was pouring into the dining room, all the staff was sweating,when they brought us our food looked like it had sat under a heat lamp for awhile, the chicken was over cooked, and the pasta was way under cooked. The bread was cold,when we asked for some warm bread, they brought out more cold bread but this time it was hard,asked for a glass of ice ,because our drinks were sweating like a race horse.Took her 15 minutes to come back and brought no ice with her. Then when we asked again about the ice ,she said "oh that right " and left to go get it,we waited another 15 minutes before she brought it. When we asked for our check she left and never came back,One of the waitress was sweeping carpet right next to our table so we asked her could she get our waitress, then when she came no check so she left again to go get it. Now another waitress with a broom is sweeping next to the other waitress sweeping, and they stop next to our table and lean on their brooms and start talking about their lives outside of work . The blonde waitress proceeded to fix her hair,bending over and whipping her hair back,back, put it up. RIGHT NEXT TO OUR TABLE. When I spoke to DAVID the manager he Did Nothing, and explained things happen...Needless to say we will NEVER return to the establishment. Save your time and aggravation. If you want really good Italian food go to J. Christopher's on Northpark in kingwood. just down the road...

Let me start by giving a shoutout to Stephanie, our lovely and gracious waiter. She was incredibly patient, kind, and attentive to my every need. Her knowledge of the menu was exceptional, and she made several recommendations that left me completely satisfied. The service overall was exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort.

Now let's talk about the food. Oh, my goodness! The Lobster Ravioli was out of this world, cooked to perfection with the right balance of flavors. The Stuffed Mushrooms were also a highlight of my meal and an absolute must-try. From the appetizers to the entrees, everything was cooked to perfection, and each dish was packed with flavor and delight. It was clear that every dish was prepared with love and attention to detail.

The setting of the restaurant was stupendous, and the decor was tasteful and elegant, a perfect complement to the food. It was the kind of ambiance that made you feel as if you were dining in Italy. The entire experience was truly divine, and I can confidently say that this is the best Italian restaurant that I have ever been to.
