We came into Hippo Burger, we are a family who brought my mother from a different state to eat here. We arrived at 8pm. Instead of saying hi, how can we help you, we got a âWE CLOSE AT 9pm JUST SO YOU KNOW!â Like umm, okay? People who came in after us were NOT greeted like this. My mother proceeded to order and asked to replace the drink with a water and we were told âNOâ. Not a sorry, no you canât just a straight âNOâ then the girl proceed to laugh after saying it. Which didnât make us feel welcome at all. After we finally got our food, we asked for 2 extra ranch dressing and were told, oh thatâs â.50 centsâ per one, after we had already spent over $70.00 dollars for what we all got. As we were eating, the workers, decided it was a great time to start cleaning so while we are our food we smelled cleaning supplies like Pine Sol. That was just so nice of them! Right?
We LOVE HIPPO BURGERS, but after tonight and the experience, I donât know if we will come back.
The ladyâs who were working was named, Gabrielle G and Navaeh D. The second one is the one who looked at my mom and started laughing after asking for a water instead. You really need to learn Customer Service, itâs definitely NOT your...
Read moreIt was my first time in a Hippo Burger. Ordered the Blue Burger. The hamburger was okay, but a little dry. Meat wasn't juciy.  Had tater tots they were cooked very crispy which I like. I did ask for the garlic like on the fries. Unfortunately it was minced garlic out of a jar. I think it was the same thing that I could have bought in any grocery store. I may forget something that would have been some type of special dry seasoning. They did not bother to drain the minced garlic it so the tater tots turned soggy and the bun on my burger was soggy from all the juice. We ate in. Can you imagine how soggy my meal would have been if it was a to go order?
I agree with the other customer that the price for the combo was too high.  The drink cup was extra small. Their combo price is nowhere to be found on their menu was over $17 for a meal that ended up soggy.
The guy that took our order told us he was the regional manager. I told him that this was my first time at a Hippo Burger he had nothing to say. He was polite but definitely didn't impress me as an employee who would want to keep customers coming back. I...
Read moreWhen we walked in the young lady behind the counter took almost 30-45 seconds to even acknowledge we existed . Her comment to herself was â where is she â as she hastily walked to the register . As she was signing in to one of the restroom, she never even bothered to look up and even acknowledge and say hi that we were there. As she was very Frustrated and emotional sheâs like can I help you very rudely. We gave her order. She never once again looked up to make eye contact with us. She never said hello or never said goodbye. Itâs almost like we were inconveniencing her at the time we walked in because she had to wait on us. And when you spend $50 for three hamburgers, the last thing you want is this kind of service . I can almost promise you we will never return to this hippo burger based on our experience with this young lady. She doesnât need to be behind the counter if she canât treat customers with respect and general courtesy. There was a lady sweeping the floors asking us how we were doing . She was pleasant and welcoming . So hats off to her for doing her job. If she wasnât there service wouldâve need...
