And here's why:

Deep inhale and exhale, shuddered as a sigh

I've been going through a LOT lately. But tonight, as a gathering amongst fellow, professional, Musicians... That choice of a restaurant...? Was traumatizing! I was probably the LAST of our party to leave, but I know I did courageous things, and will continue to do so...

I got up and went STRAIGHT to the awful dj, letting him know, as a fellow person interested in potentially Disc Jockeying, but more importantly, AS A MUSICIAN who VALUES their ability to HEAR a fellow MUSICIAN sitting quite literally, NEXT TO THEM, the volume was TOO LOUD! I asked him POLITELY to SLIGHTLY turn down the NOISE coming out of HIS equipment. He understood me, and pretty much told me I have to speak to management! I looked at his EMPTY tip jar, and was NOT surprised!

I proceeded to the entrance of this "under construction" establishment. I was looking for the "manager", who apparently can't "manage" to do anything, other than disappoint this "commUNITY!"

However, along the way, the "Workers" who actually Care about their customers, gave GREAT Customer SERVICE!!! I've been there! I've done that! And I KNOW that they don't get PAID what they DESERVE! To THEM, I apologize for literally not leaving a single CENT in "GRATUITY". Yet, I did hunt down, thank, and showed EVERY piece of gratitude in ways that I felt were MORE relevant than any dollar amount I could have afforded.

Speaking of dollars and what I can "afford", the food was HIGHLY OVERPRICED and completely OVERRATED!!! Yes, this is Kingwood, but I believe in Wallet Activism. I walked in with a bottle of water and a MEAL I had previously prepared for myself. As a "Business", they have FAILED!!! I've heard of this place, and how much people USED to love it. I was looking forward to a CONTINUED "enjoyable experience".

As this was my VERY FIRST experience of this establishment, I LITERALLY compared it to HELL!!!

I would LITERALLY rather do (almost) ANYTHING than experience this establishment again. When ONE person "takes a stand", and voices their "Complaints", take note. The Kingwood Pops Orchestra shall NEVER dine at this...

Notes by item: Chips Warm, fresh from the kitchen. Nice and crisp.

Red Salsa I quite enjoyed the red salsa it was definitely something I'd try again. Very good.

Green Salsa No idea what happened here but it was very bad. It was intended to be an avocado based salsa but it had either expired or was not made fresh. I would not recommend this item to anyone.

Chile Con Queso The Chile Con Queso was not good at all. It tasted like it came right out of a can. I love love love Queso normally but I couldn't eat this one. I would not recommend the item to anyone.

Beef fajita burrito The beef fajita burrito was decent. Wasn't anything to write home about but it wasn't bad either. However I would recommend that you get the beef fajita if you're planning to order a burrito.

"Home-made" Tamales in the Husk I genuinely don't have words to describe how disappointing this dish was. There was nothing home-made about it. It looked extremely pale white and bland. It was topped with plain ground beef. And most disappointing of all, it did not come in a husk per it's description. The flavor was very bland and not at all what I would expect of home-made tamales. We ate a couple bites and left the rest at the table when we left. Would not recommend...

I called and place a to-go order and the girl who answered the phone didn't pay attention to what I wanted,she gave me a parillada with shrimp never did I asked for shrimp I'm allergic to it! Then I called and told her they gave me wrong order she started talking about all the parilladas I interrupted her nicely and said all I want is my money back or the right order. She said I can give you the right order (with attitude)I said ok so I go back pick it up then I notice new order says $17.27 so I kindly ask her are you going to give me the difference cause earlier you charged me $25.98 she said give me a second she goes I don't know where comes back and tells me no I can't because the food will go bad. Like it's my fault she didn't get the order right so they refused to give me my money back! Horrible customer service never going back she had like an attitude problem was very negative about everything. Very disappointed I give them one star because I've been in customer service and always make customer happy for them to come back.They had no potential to keep a customer happy. Such bad service I left...
