Experience Middle Grounds coffee house for a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, friendly customer service, flavorful lattes, and delectable pastries! The attendant was very friendly, helpful, and courteous. She used her barista skills to efficiently hand craft my delcious Decker latte, and she packaged my pastry in a cute little brown bag! I was very satisfied with my purchase and the experience! The establishment is clean, (including the bathroom) and comfortable. The decor is very unique, with dim lighting, it adds rustic modern vibes. The music is also great addition; it gives a positive inspiration to the experience! Seem like a great place to relax, or work on your laptop, or meet a friend for a beverage and/or pastry. Parking may be hard to find if it's super busy in the area; there are a few spots to parallel park in front of the establishment...there is a side parking lot; however, most of the spaces are assigned to Lovick's...

THE coffee place to go to for your java, tea, smoothies and pastries. Am an absolute coffee fanatic, as is most in my family, always in search of a good coffee place with a great atmosphere and product and did not have to go far to find Middle Ground Coffeehouse.. checking all the boxes and locally owned and operated. Their location is right in downtown Kinston, NC and the place is huge inside with a variety of seating areas from sofas, armchairs, bar stool (area) and plenty of flat surafe area to play games, do paperwork/computer, enjoy your drink and pastry. The staff is wonderful, friendly, helpful, personable and attentive and keep the area clean and organized. Our drinks were made quick and order taken quick as well. I had their chai latte, my favorite hot drink, and Middle Grounds by far has the best one ive had in any of the coffee places ive visited.. worth a try.. hot or iced....

Middle Grounds coffee is one of the very best coffee shops I’ve ever been to, and like Johnny Cash, I’ve been everywhere man. They take their craft very seriously, and it comes through most noticeably in the taste, but you begin to realize it’s not only the taste, but in every, single, detail. You won’t find a speck of dust in the place, you won’t find an unfriendly employee, you won’t ever get a bad cup of coffee and it’s so welcoming you might just want to stay a while and hang out.

Oh any it’s significantly cheaper than a certain coffee chain that rhymes with Our Bucks, where you will be over charged for over roasted coffee, be ignored by “baristas” who barely acknowledge you, and who get your expensive order wrong about as often as they get it right! If that’s your cup of Joe, keep giving all your money to corporate coffee.
