Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Kinston

This was the worst pizza I have ever had, I'm not crazy about a couple of other pizza places in town, but after having Papa John's it makes me want to eat theirs instead. I called in the young lady Heather took it and it looks like she did her job very well, I ask for a Med. Pizza with light sauce, Bacon, Ham, &Onions, extra cheese, there was no extra cheese, no onion at all, Canadian bacon for ham there is a difference, and regular bacon which I never could find any, and to top it off there was a ton of pineapple on it, I never ever get pineapple on a pizza some people may but I'm not one of those people, and this pizza was for me and my hubby, and an order of wings, now this was what I wanted for my, Mother's Day supper. And for $26.89 I call that HWY robbery, we can eat at steak house's, well most anywhere cheaper than that, you can sure cross us off your customers list forever! I try to over look small things but this being our supper and at this price can't be over looked. Tell Heather she should find a better place to work. I placed an order told it would be 45 mins. I arrived to pick up order there was One person answering phone and making pizzas! I was told my order was not ready. No problem I will wait! Another Lady comes in he told her her order was not ready she told him she ordered it two hours in advance! She told him she was on her lunch break and couldn’t wait so she canceled her order! She had already paid but he didn’t know how to refund her money! He told her his manager would be in shortly! He asked what my order was I told him he said he hadn’t started on mine it would be another hour or so I told him to cancel mine too! The manager walks in didn’t greet any of us he was very rude with how he asked who is canceling their order! He never apologized to any of us! I will say the employee working was doing all he could do but no excuse for a Manager treating customers so rudely! I will not be back !Kinston...

UPDATE: 1 year later we decided to give PapaJohns another shot. They seem to have changed management and staff and we haven’t had an issue. They have officially earned my business back

I have not had good service here since they moved from their downtown location. In fact the service has been downright horrible. Extremely long wait times and very rude staff.

On multiple occasions, I had arrived at the location 20-30 minutes after ordering, then had to wait an additional 20 minutes. I’m a patient person, but hadn’t had these problems at the old location on Vernon.

Once I arrived and did the usual song and dance of waiting 20+ minutes. I saw them place my pizza on the rack but there was no one to ring me up. I spent another 15 minutes waiting for someone to allow me to pay for the now cold pizza.
