I came here because I had an extra few minutes before an appointment and needed my caffeine for the morning. I usually use my starbucks phone app to pay for my drinks but this day my phone was dead. I am a gold star member and still wanted my reward star so I brought my gold card in and a credit card, just in case. When I ordered my drink Natasha (a barista) looked and me and asked what I wanted to do with the gold card. I told her my phone was dead but I still wanted my star. She said, with nonchalance, if you don't want the card filled then I can't do that. I told her my card is on automatic refill so I didn't need it filled. She said there was no money on my card. I told her that couldn't be since I know there should have at least been $25. She got frustrated and threw her hands up in the air with a look like, "well, I can't help you, this is the way it is." I was so outraged by this behavior! I realize that being a gold member doesn't carry the same prestige as it used to but I obviously worked hard for it and spend money there, more than just a coffee a month. The least she could have done was treated me with kindness! I told her I didn't have time to argue with her and to just charge the coffee on my credit card (good thing I brought it in). She told me if I was unhappy to call the 1800 number. I got out of line and waited for my coffee. The next guy behind me was an elderly gentleman that seemed to have hearing problems. When Natasha took his order she asked him if he wanted room in his coffee. The poor man either didn't hear or didn't understand and she snapped at him as well. She very sarcastically said, "uh, for cream. Do YOU want room?" I can't believe someone would treat their elders like this. Natasha obviously does not like her job and customer service is not her strong point. I ended up waiting over 15 min to get my coffee while others behind me in line got their much more complex coffees first. Needless to say, I was late for my appointment. Starbucks - shame on you for employee such a bitter person. As for me... I will be avoiding this location at all costs due to her lack of customer service. By the way, when I got home and charged my phone I saw on the starbucks app that there was $27...
Read moreI have been living in seattle for around 6 years now, but my experiences with starbucks have always been thanks to my mom since she had more experience going there and buying herself coffee and croissants. That was until last year that I went by myself for the first time to this location specifically. I didn't really know anything about the whole unnecessary vocabulary they have 😭. First, I wanted a drink that was sweet. The person who was taking my order kinda laughed when I told them I had no idea what they were telling me about sizes (grande, blah blah blah). Then I said "small" and they were like: "Okay so venti" and I was super confused. Then, they gave me the drink but it had no sweet/sugar which made me mote confused coz my drink was caramel something something. Anyways, after that the person was annoyed coz they were pretty sure the drink was sweet so I told them to taste it if they wanted to check but they refused so they basically re-made it and I kept both so Ig it wasn't as bad. I have to clarify I told the person beforehand that I had not been to starbucks before so i expected some patience and understanding. Overall, both drinks were okay and as I said at the beginning of this review, my mom had been to this place before and she had brought me drinks and other things from starbucks (this location and others) so of course I had no problem with the food or anything like that. The only issue was the lack of sympathy I felt from...
Read moreSo, I can't say enough about how bad my experience was at this location. I arrived at 6:41 AM and went inside. I was the only person inside at that time and and ordered my single Americano with steamed cream. I then had to explain to them that that was a hot drink because apparently the "steamed cream" didn't tell them it was a hot drink. I then watched 6 cars pull through the drive through, order, pay, pickup their orders and leave as well as four pickup orders for customers that weren't there be placed in the pickup location and the barista call out the customer's name. Now mind you I was and still am the only person in the Starbucks! 22 minutes later my name was called and I received my "iced Americano." At this point I just took the iced coffee that I had already waited 22 minutes for and dumped it in the trash on my way out. If I could give less then 1 star I would.
Nice new building though. If their service was representative of the new, super modern building they'd have something good. Instead, the barista stand across the street at the gas station served a much better cup of coffee and even though I was fourth in line I still get my order in less then 10 minutes. Oh, and the got the order correct without me having to tell them that if the are adding steamed cream then it's...
